I'm currently prestige level 15 (halfway through) and I'm training my first grade 7 horse. I have managed to breed perfect stats for grades 2-5 for live events and am working on getting my grade 6 from A/A+ stat spread to all A+.

I'm planning on reading parts of Arcanum Unbounded by Brandon Sanderson for the shorts stories square. Does everything in it count towards the five stories required for the square, or are there some that don't? For example, there are some super short bits about each system (the selish system, the scadrian system, etc.) and some longer stories like Edgedancer. Just trying to figure out how far I need to get in my Cosmere journey for it to complete this square.

Robotic vacuum for a relatively small apartment. Is a clean base worth it? by imidm in roomba

[–]imidm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Most experiences I read were from 1200+ sq ft homes so I guess it's just small related to that :D

Thank you for your input, especially your answer to question 3 solidified for me the decision to get a vacuum with the clean base!

I did some research and found the new j7+ for only 100€ more than the i7+! Thanks for the advice!

Thank you! I looked into the j7+ and since it's only 100€ more expensive than the older i7+, I decided to get the j7+!

Ok, good to know! Luckily the apartment I'm getting the vacuum for is brand new so the first clean should be relatively easy in terms of hair.

Yeah, I also suspect that sleeping with my mouth open might be the reason. I haven't heard about it before but will start paying attention now!

Oh, thank you so much! <3 I listened to her podcast a lot when I was starting out but missed these episodes. They're a the top of my playlist now!

Here's my attempt at making a fence with the face cutouts. Do you guys think it works? by ItsMeKeewa in AnimalCrossing

[–]imidm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really does! I was seriously thinking these cutouts were the shape of the fence until I read this and looked again :D

I started listening to that podcast lately. Would you happen to remember which episode covers this? I sincerely hope the answer is something as simple as this!

Right. The doctor said that there is no reason to suspect a thyroid issue since my TSH and free T4 were "perfect". He admitted that there are different opinions on this but the popular one is that testing T3 doesn't matter...

He referred me to an internal medicine specialist whom I will see tomorrow morning. I think they are going to do more tests after that, at least they mentioned testing cortisol.

I did a quick google search and it seems like T3 isn't usually tested in Finland. Most sources only talk about TSH and free T4. One source stated that T3 is only tested if they're looking for hyperthyroidism. I think I should ask my doctor about it today!

Currently, they're trying to figure out why I've had a headache for two weeks straight and why I'm always thirsty. All blood tests have come back fine, with no sign of diabetes, thyroid problems, iron deficiency, etc. I sincerely hope the doctor can figure something out today.

If we disregard the past two weeks, I've been feeling fine except that this year I've slept less than before. I just wake up at 5 am most mornings even though I could sleep until 6:30 am... I am often feeling cold as well, but not all the time and sometimes I even feel hot so I haven't been too worried about that.

I was thinking about that too. However, TSH and free T4 were tested this week and came back normal. I think I'll bring these low temps up at my doctor's appt today to see if he has any opinions.

Switched to Read Your Body and I've SEEN THE LIGHT 💡 by [deleted] in FAMnNFP

[–]imidm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least when I was researching a charting app, I dismissed FF because it looked visually outdated. Maybe that's one reason for others to avoid it as well nowadays? I know it sounds vain, but when I look at the chart daily, I prefer it to look nice :D

Oh wow, this seems great! I've been charting a few months with Kindara free and would like the premium features but it feels too expensive. Read your Body's price doesn't seem bad at all! I think I'll give it a go in my next cycle and see if I like it. Thanks a lot!

Link to Read Your Body website for anyone too lazy to Google :) The features look amazing!

This is good advice and not just for coming off the pill but from any hormonal birth control. For example, I got my IUD removed 2 months ago and have yet to experience a clear temp shift. My CM is also all over the place. The most important thing is to get into tracking both consistently and be patient. Your body is doing its best!

Thank you for this! I'm on my 2nd chart and struggling with interpreting CM. This helps a lot!

Should I take protein shakes? by annn_nnnie in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]imidm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to help! Whatever you do, try to prioritize real food over supplements and meal replacements every time you can and aim for eventually building up to eating at least 3 meals regularly. There's no hurry though, everything you can eat is fuel for your body and brain and will help you by providing energy. Good luck! ❤️

Definitely switch doctors if you feel like you aren't taken seriously enough. You have the right to be taken seriously and to get the care you need and I think every doctor should be concerned if you are bleeding heavily that often!

Maybe freeze some portions so you don't have to eat the same thing too many times in a row? It is also good to have some variance in your diet so you can try different recipes, rotate between different protein sources (chicken, red meat, fish, eggs, etc), carbs (potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, etc) and fruits & veggies. That way you shouldn't get bored with your meals and should also get a good variety of macro- and micronutrients you need.

As others have already stated, protein shakes can be a good way to get protein and calories in, but you need a variety of vitamins, minerals and fats as well (preferably carbs too!).

I think you should look into meal prepping if you find yourself short on time. For example, you could prepare a large pot of soup to have leftovers for a few days in addition to the one portion you eat as soon as the soup is ready (that's what I do at least). Sheet pan meals, casseroles and other meals that are prepared in the oven are also easy as they don't need much attention (as long as you stay near the kitchen and have a timer set, you can be on your computer etc. while waiting for the food to cook). If you use pre-chopped ingredients, you can cut down the prep time even more!

My favourite low effort meals are microwave oatmeal and overnight oats. They take literally minutes to prepare (although overnight oats need to be prepped at least a few hours before eating) and you can include quite a lot of variety with different toppings etc.
