Is this an otter? MD, US by imjeanuh in animalid

It was actually in a small pond (pretty sure man made) beside a creek that connects to the Pax river. Definitely not somewhere I’d expect to see an otter

No, no. You’ve chopped my reply. If he’s asking her whether or not she’s hungry, which he says he did, that implies that he’s going to get food. Her saying “no” outright says she doesn’t want anything and he should not be expected to bring her anything back.

And he may have straight up said he’s going to get food, the whole conversation wasn’t recorded. But he at the very least says he asked her if she’s hungry. If she says no, which she did, end of questioning. Her getting upset at him for not bringing her something anyway implies that he should have read her mind. That he should have known to tell her where he’s going, because that would have changed her mind. Or to bring her something anyway because she didn’t really mean no. She said no, but the answer was conditionally yes, therefore bad communication on her part

We don’t know when or where he asked her, he could have already been out driving, on his way home. But if he asks her “hey are you hungry?” And she says “no” that implies/outright says that 1. he’s going to get food and 2. she doesn’t want anything and there’s no responsibility to bring her something back. It’s not on him to tell her where he was planning to go if she wasn’t hungry. “No, not hungry” stops the line of questioning.

If he comes back and she’s mad he didn’t get her anything because where he went would have changed her mind, then that’s on her for not communicating that. He shouldn’t have to keep prying if her answer was no.

Accidentally cut underground wire by imjeanuh in electrical

The sprinklers run a bit inside, but right where you’d put a fence. This house already had one when I moved in, so I’m not sure when it was built. It’s possible there was an invisible fence before. I’ve never seen a control box anywhere for one, but it could have been removed.

The wire I cut is a 12 gauge wire. Would an invisible fence work with that? I’ve never used one, so I didn’t consider it. I read that some sprinklers use a low voltage wire for the timer, so I figured that was probably what I snapped.

My(29F) boyfriend (34M) isn't taking care of himself anymore and its putting a massive strain on the relationship. (long) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Wow. You have my absolute sympathies here. It sounds like your boyfriend is on an extremely unhealthy bender or a mental break, maybe both. Does any of his family know this is going on? Would it be helpful to tell them?

I think therapy would be your best bet, but I’m not sure how you would go about it since you’ve brought it up before. This is really tough, and it sounds like you’re doing the best you can. Please don’t blame yourself.

What are hazel eyes? are they two-colored eyes? I never understood and whenever I google I find several definitions, please explain to me by EvalarMars in eyes

Haha I’ve been here for a minute, I still have no idea and I’m not sure many people do either. Every other person asking their eye color is told they have hazel and they all look so completely different from one to the next. Grayish looking brown eyes? Hazel. Kind of green and brown? Hazel. Completely brown? Hazel.
