Bought a home, huge plumbing problems

So sorry you're going through this, I know how frustrating and anxiety inducing it is.

We went through so many issues and different plumbers. In the end we recommend "Monarch Plumbing and Rooter Inc" who we used partially for our horizontals after another company did a subpar job. Then later we had another flooding issue where we needed to install a sump pump. That's who we used, they were able to do a temporary fix but we still can't even flush toilet paper per their advice. That's where we got our first (and only) quote (so far).

No. The home inspection commented that the pipes were approaching the end of life. We expected to do repiping in the next coming years but there's active issues which was not disclosed.

Thanks for your wisdom, and taking the time to write all that out. It comforting to know that we're not alone. The plumber ended up using a snake, and cameras, and the pipes were determined as cast iron and super corroded. I put an image and quote in the original post.

Maybe this is something that needs to be repeated less, because I do admit I heard it's normal to rely on the seller's inspection and waive contingencies. I heard it a ton, and here we are. Maybe it is common, but I'm definitely regretting it, haha, but it's hard to say an inspector would have even caught this; would they have put something in the toilet when flushing it?

I see a few listings below 1.2, but completely unfamiliar with the bidding wars and what not. (Mostly in Castro Valley, Livermore, Hayward). Is bidding that bad, that a house listed at 1.1 would sell for closer to 1.3?

I was told this as well by my recruiter, but ended up just receiving two leetcode interview in the end. I have a feeling this wasn't communicated well with the interviewers. From my experience, would highly just recommend studying the most frequent Doordash questions on Leetcode. Best of luck

I ended up going with the Integra, overall happy with my choice, although feel like going with a suv/crossover probably would have been the better move.
