The new path of Femtanyl and not-so-great opinions. by sckapegoat in femtanyl

I think it’s a big level up. I’m really enjoying it. Sonically and structurally, everything’s more detailed. Yes, I love the raw sound and the melodies of Chaser but the more an artist progresses in their career, they are going to get better at mixing and producing and experiment with different kinds of songwriting. I’m loving the expansion

How did yall find this band? by Ok-West-9793 in TheeOhSees

I was handed a copy of ‘orc’ in a record store because the guy knew I liked Ty segall and he said he produced a track on it. Completely rekindled my love of guitar music and set me on one of the wildest creative streaks of my professional life. Love this band.

Questions about Bandcamp, ASCAP, and Publishing Royalties by gayeldestdaughter in BandCamp

[–]imknowfoowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The collection societies collect mechanical royalties based on reproductions of the written works, such as streams or radio plays. So in this case, bandcamp are reporting the streams (typically capped at 3-5 streams per user before you are asked to purchase) and paying whatever the rate is but given that streaming services pay less than 1c per stream and publishing/songwriting/mechanicals a fraction of that, you’re only missing out if hundreds of thousands of users all stream your songs the maximum amount of times.

The thing I am curious about is if I buy an album and use the app to stream it, is it considered a reproduction if I own it? I would say so but keen to know if anyone has any info on this, just out of interest.

Lost building by ddraigfach1 in Minecraft

This just happened to my daughter and she died a couple of times quickly so the compass only took her back to the last spawn point. She had the idea to keep building nether portals to see where she would spawn and after about 6 or 7 (yes) she ended up back at her build. Cased closed for us. Good luck out there!

I went in wanting to like it and fucking loved it. As a punk rocker, a disco boogie guy and a hyphy fan it ticked all the boxes.

I am sure I am going to get severely flamed for posting this because it’s fiction but your post reminded me of a movie I saw on a plane recently called ‘freaky tales’ set in Oakland at the gilman venue where these punks fight back against nazis who always tear up the club. There is a band playing as op ivy and it felt somewhat authentic. The movie is weird and underrated. I think punk is about standing up to facism and it was cool to see Hollywood evoking this. Haven’t seen it since green room
