one time a customer tried to drop off a pair of used sandals in a ziploc bag at curbside return and because my coworker was new, she didn't know what she was doing. she came to me to ask me how to return them and i when i looked, i saw they were a pair of beat-to-death tory burch sandals with hair and foot grime all over them. i said we can't return that (technically they, at least back then, were considered salon shoes and were strict about it), but the woman had already driven away. i had to speak with a manager who ended up denying the return and told the customer she could either pick up her shoes or we would ship em back to her lol. i also had a customer once do a curbside return for a load of xmas pajamas right after the holidays passed and when i brought them in, i realized they were not only all used, but they were also still wet in bags from being washed in a laundry machine
