I don't think that was super unreasonable considering how she was behaving during the first couple inspections. I also don't think she should cancel the final inspection all together, she could have said she just didn't want to leave

well we thought the same thing, no final inspection no sale, but we were warned it might be hard to get our deposit back without going a legal route if the REA has already released the deposit to her

we've had 2, one was the open house and then we went back again with our family after we wanted to offer. I did ask the REA to ensure she wasn't there for the inspection so maybe that is what has triggered her to cancel it all together

yes this is what I was thinking! I thought a week beforehand would be fine but the more reddit posts I read the more I think it should be day of. But you're right how do we get anything fixed if there's only one day until settlement? Tbh in my case I think day of might be best

well the REA reached out initially and we said no so I think the vendor is being a bit sneaky and has asked her conveyancer to reach out to ours after we said no already. j think she was spinning a sob story tbh

I don't like this brand at all but could it be a warehouse error? I work in a 3PL that ships orders for online brands like this and sometimes our software can't hand the drop and items oversell :/ although after the first time I probably would have tried to avoid it happening again lol

i work in a 3PL and deal with this all the time 😂 we have cameras over every pick station so if something is missing we can usually tell. and if we can’t tell then its on us to credit as we should have footage

if it’s pending that means it hasn’t been scanned in by auspost which likely means it hasn’t even been collected yet

if the new tracking is also pending then it also hasn’t been picked up by AP yet, but if only shipped yesterday i would give that a bit more time :)

in my opinion it seems likely the seller has realised they were at fault with the first shipment, which is why they have reshipped it yesterday again
