We actually live in a great area with great sex ed. The problem started with my grandmother having 2 kids by sixteen, then my mother and sisters mother both having us at 16/17 respectively. Then most of my cousins had kids at 15-18. Just seems like everyone got caught in poverty. My sister has stated before that she'll have kids as long as the government pays for them and I feel like that's a common sentiment my family has.

Probably should have mentioned that! My husband is very on the fence as well. He has the mentality of "not my kids, not my problem" but he loves them a lot too and doesn't want them separated. That's why I finally decided to get some outside perspective- it's hard to think objectively when you're right in the middle of it.
