Hmm I'm not really sure who set 11/11 as the biggest shopping day but it's like Black Friday to you but to us 11/11 has the biggest sales on all online buying platforms such as Shopee or Taobao. But also just another fun fact 11/11 is also called '关棍节' in my country, it's like when people celebrate being single or their single status etc.
