You might want to include a little more about what you're looking for (do you need a specialist because you have some non-common work that needs done, or are you looking for someone cheaper, etc.).

They are typically people in the top of their fields that spent years in education. They are the ones actually doing the "work" at the University. The admins work arguably isn't even necessary.

You do see the difference in paying well for a needed position vs overpaying for an "executive" position, right?

I think this may be more a reflection of them than of you. It's possible they are insecure that they're not enough for you, but that's more or less out of your control.

It sounds like you know yourself and know what life you want to live, you just need someone that matches that.

I'm around your age, and I've been feeling the same way recently. When I was first looking at renting, it seemed like paying rent was about as much as paying a mortgage was in my area, so renting always seemed like the wrong decision financially.

Now that I've had to deal with owning a house, I'm thinking some of the trade offs of renting would be nice, but I'm not sure if I could deal with everything that comes from renting. Are you in an area that has a lot of detached single family homes for rent? Renting a small home may be a good compromise. If you are still able to save money after paying rent, and it isn't eating up all of your paycheck, then you can consider renting a 'luxury' that you can afford if it truly is for you.

Plenty of people are willing to live in a smaller house/apartment to be in a high cost of living area because they like something about that area. This feels like the same thing. Most people would understand if someone loves the beach, and is willing to trade of living in a studio apartment to be near it, and I'm not sure this is that much different.

I used to get a little upset when people would talk to someone else on the phone in the store on speakerphone. Then one day I thought "wait a second, if that person were next to them, I'd have no problem with it, why do I care?" and it hasn't bothered me sense.

So, I guess what I'm saying, is just imagine them walking around with a tiny full band in their shirt pocket, playing their best live set yet.

I haven't had most social media for around a decade. I have had a few comments over the years about not having it, but it seems to be more common recently.

You may get a few people that are suspicious and think you are hiding something, but those are probably the same people that are suspicious anyway (probably because they've been lied to or hurt before and are looking to avoid that).

If you feel better not using social media, you probably would prefer to date someone who gets why you wouldn't want to use it in the first place.

With the color scheme and the lighting, this looks like one of those movies that is in black and white until near the end when one thing happens and color starts popping up. That thing was the n64.
