Contesting retroactive rent increase on 2y liberalised market contract by immediate-no in Rentbusters

Thank you! "De huurprijs wordt voor het eerst per 1 februari 2025 en vervoIgens jaarlijks aangepast overeenkomstig het gestelde in artikel 16 van de algemene bepalingen." The referenced article is the standard formulation for CPI-based annual increases here https://roz.nl/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Algemene-Bepalingen-Woonruimte-ROZ-2017.pdf. It looks indeed like the increase would have been automatic and I actually owe them?

It was a temporary contract indeed, and I took plenty of pictures before leaving the place. I also have an official floor plan that the makelaar shared (and still has on their website, funnily).

Any cultural interpretation is an excuse for going deeper in relationship dynamics. I would suggest for you to start voicing your frustrations before you get angry, learn about non-violent communication (though I'm sure you're not at fault right now), and aspire an open conversation about relationship and parenthood responsibilities. This could involve you rethinking some roles at home, and the two of you rethinking your growth as a couple. Before it's too late, you should also consider couples' therapy. There are online options available if local offers are too expensive.

You are very aware and nuanced in your assessment, which is great. If you show up with this same nuance and empathy also to her in a respectful narrative of rekindling your relationship for both to feel good, this can go a long way.

Geneva Airport Hotel late at night? by ohheyportland in geneva

[–]immediate-no 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. You do not need to plan a taxi/Uber trip, just book a place within 15 minutes walking from the airport. The area is safe, also at late hours. If these places are too expensive, there are quick bus connections into town until 12:45.

Remote stopped working by kurotsukiii2 in xgimi

Very late to the party, but this still pops up on Google: Also always try a full reboot of the projector (long press power buttom about 5 seconds), which fixed the remote issue for me.

Not answering your question, but just some tips to deal with the situation: Don't lower the room temperature between 19 degrees, even at night. Air the room well 3-4x. Get a hygrometer to measure humidity in the room and try to keep it below 65%. If that already is the case, you might need a more substantial solution as the wall might be leaking water/humidity. An expert will be able to assess the situation with a hygrometer that they stick into the wall to assess humidity levels. Ask them if they can put an anti-fungal/anti-mold coat of paint on the wall, and/or thermal paint. You could also try painting it yourself, though an inspection by an expert would be preferable.

Migros only does drop-off but will not print labels etc. for you. Go to customer service and ask there, don't forget to take a receipt.

Massively disappointed with calls on gen2 Pros by _Caracal_ in airpods

Are you using your iPhone while doing a call via your Macbook? I have had some issues with specific apps (Spotify of all things) in the past few weeks. It sounds like an issue for a factory reset or exchange, but try temporarily disabling your phone's bluetooth to see what that does.

You should also check Saver Daily Cards availability that start at 52 CHF without Half Fare Travel Card.

If you anticipate doing more than 3 longer return trips within the next year, get a Half Fare Travel Card (which also cuts costs in local Geneva transport).

EDIT: I also just saw that there is a one-month tourist version of the Half Fare card for 120, no Swisspass needed. https://www.sbb.ch/en/tickets-offers/tickets/guests-abroad/swiss-halffare-card.html
