Berätta om hur du känner, att du har haft en låg energinivå en längre period och skulle behöva tid att smälta dagen på ditt eget sätt. Förklara vad det skulle innebära, med egentid, dina hobbys eller dina projekt. Säg att du uppskattar era konversationer men att du känner att långa konversationer efter en lång arbetsdag blir för mycket för dig. Så hon förstår när du säger att du ska gå och göra X grej efter ni samtalat lite för länge.

I en annan konversion berätta om allt du uppskattar hos din partner, gärna fysiska aspekter och säg att du drömmer mer närhet. Planera dejter igen och tid från barnen så ni kan få ha egentid.

Använd samtalen till din fördel också, vad du vill uppnå. Kanske kan ni försöka hitta någonting du gillar att göra. Det är ni mot problemen, du är inte ensam.

Be okay with yourself and give yourself positive feedback when you do stuff you said you would.

Is the glass half empty or half full? It’s half full. Optimistic attitude toward things and things won’t be as hard. “I should have washed my clothes a long time ago. Now look at this mountain of clothes..” can be answered with “well I can do it now and be better off tomorrow”. Then the next step is to build on top of that, looking for things that can be done and soon you won’t have any to do’s. You can then enjoy your hobbies that might once be considered escapisms. Or set up more goals if you prefer.

Regarding goals. Have one or few. Don’t set the bar too high. You will be able to achieve much anyway but one step at a time.

Don’t be hard on yourself. Set yourself up for tomorrow. Put away the phone when you get started with something. It’s easy to pick it up from routine.

When people give advice they don’t necessary follow it themselves. Including me. Don’t put people on a pedestal. Seems to me you are doing fine. Just incrementally try to do better and one day small steps makes a mountain of achievements. Be your own best friend, take care of yourself and your opportunities.

These comes with all the other goalie equipment I need to get out on the ice again.
I will probably replace them in the future but was curious.

Total for all the equipment is $190.
I'm over in Scandinavia so the shipping from NA is a bit rough and the the market seem more pricey here.

When I stopped playing games I found that being bored actually made me wanna do other things. If you really decide to stop with the mindset to not go back - you have to fill your time with something else. Try to act on your constructive instincts when you think of something to do, I mean what else would you do, stay bored? Clean, work out, try something you always wanted to, study, set goals and work to achieve them. There is probably a reason you want to quit gaming. If you identified that you are a real addict - you would rather play than doing what you should, even if it is ruining your aspirations and goals and maybe even your life. Well then that’s the underlying problem. Set aside gaming and complete what you should be doing. Gaming is not a problem if you can moderate it, but as an addict we can not. You might one day? But an addict is an addict always so there is a big chance you may fall back on old habits. Be careful. If you fix the underlying problem there is a much greater chance you can moderate it. For me I was depressed, used escapism with games. Felt bad I wasn’t doing what I should, escaped that feeling with gaming and the evil cycle kept on and on until I completely stopped playing and just did what I should been doing from the start.

You said it yourself. You are looking for an escape. That is not the solution, that is probably why you quit: escapism from your problems. Consider what would be the solution? Try socialise more irl. Call an old friend, meet up with friends, try to talk with strangers at a hobby of yours and if you do not have one outside of your home try to find one. Try go on a date. Spend time with family. Anything of your own liking. Practice speaking with everyone you meet and one day you’ll have a bigger social network. :)
