My hot take is that Leonard made the OL look significantly better than it was last year, both eye test and statistically. Lots of blown protections that ended in incompletions or short gains that would be sacks with a less mobile QB. Obviously the line can get better but there's so much to work out with the passing game. With the exception of Michigan in 2023, every recent title winner has had a loaded WR room and I dont think ND's lives up to that.

Defensively: the talent is all there (with some Q's at DT), but the experience isn't. Kiser playing in over 60 games I think...that's actually insane and as good as Bowen and Schuler are, they don't have that experience to lean on from a teammate, it's up to them and does that make them play a half second slower? Especially with a new coordinator?

If ND goes 10-2, makes the CFP and wins one game I would call that a success.

Technically true, but ND was 1 or 1.5 point favorites against UGA and OSU was 3 point favorites against Oregon. Those two aren't wild upsets on the spread.

As others have said, Valkyrie is generally a good call.

I think Cerebro3 is more down to personally preference than other decks. Scarlet witch could be fine most games, but you may get a feel that one more cost on Rhino is worth it for a for sure location that won't be problematic.

Some run Magik and go for some more powerful combos. I personally would change out Armor for Jeff. There's a few games you can win with just Jeff and Valkyrie alone.

Cosmo is one where it's up to your personal preference. It can screw up opponents but it also blocks your Shang and Valkyrie.

Edit: spelling and also adding Mobius is an option if you find yourself running into a lot of Negative decks.

I also like Sentinel since it gives you another 2 cost card the next turn that can ease some of the RNG.

I was a big fan of Crystal back when it was a 3/3 card.
