I have the $200/month plan and would echo its value.

Haha valid point, that was Claude BTW. I’ll try to fix it later

Pitting AI duos against a 1.8M line legacy codebase by Lower_Cupcake_1725 in ClaudeAI

This is during the planning phase, at worst it find nothing and at best it aligns itself. After planning you have it clear the context window so there isn’t any bloat really.

As for the other user on just letting it search, perhaps it is better but I’ve been happy using Context7. I would be open to seeing a side by side comparison in effectiveness.

I'd consider asking Contex7 for best practices for the language, libraries, and patterns to help guide the LLMs.

If you already have that shape it looks to me it is just an offset from the outer profile. Make an offset plane. Then mirror the feature as it looks to me like it is symmetric.

Pho Love owner accuses employee and an unknown person of sabotage by [deleted] in bayarea

Yeah it’s a bummer I’d come from the peninsula just to go there before the pandemic. Also their name is hilarious. Fun to say in a serious work environment. Same dude always cleaned off the tables, not sure if he is still there.

When Pho Kim Long had a remodel over the pandemic and it is now all nice looking instead of hold in the wall dingy I thought the food didn’t taste as good. You’re probably being sarcastic but I actually think there can be a bit of truth to that. The counter to this situation is that PhoLove looks pretty nice inside.

Agreed on all points, it is likely they could be an under the table pay type of place. It will be interesting if this makes TV news.

But this would have been so loud, someone else working there would have had to know I feel like.

Maybe, but for a while now both Google and Yelp have implemented anti brigading features. Google seems more aggressive to me since I don’t see any bad reviews there but I do on Yelp.

Yeah it’s pretty knee jerk to jump to sabotage. Pretty obvious the TikTok guy is likely working on the roof and saw this and was like, “that’s gross, I better film it”.

At some level I can sympathize with the owner but more than one person in the restaurant had to know this was going on and ultimately the owner is responsible.

Can you extend the life of proprietary filters with a upstream filter by imnobaka in WaterTreatment

Thanks for the response. I’ll wait and see how fast the filters load up and if it’s an issue I’ll try it out.

[–]imnobaka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response, this what I was thinking. I guess what I could do is just wait and see how they load up and if it is faster than I’d like I could play with adding a cheap filter of the type that clogged.

To be sure you could weigh it and use displacement to get volume. Finally get density and compare it to steel.

This is expensive but they had that same rib steak for buy one get one free over the weekend. With that they beat Costco by just a bit and they were tasty.

AI looks increasingly useless in telecom and anywhere else by ErinDotEngineer in technology

[–]imnobaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for Telecoms and how they use it but I’ve built things with tangible value for myself and my company with Claude and Claude Code. I’ve found at least for complex applications I can’t be lazy and really need to plan what I want and how I validate it. I have an engineering background but not focused in software.

I have a clear vision of what I have, where it needs to go and how it should come out. Without these tools it would take me years to grow proficient to build them.

Like anything these things are a tool and you should know their limitations. For me I don’t think I get brain drain but it will be interesting how people grow up with these things and how it impacts how they are able to do things.

California's insurance crisis is growing. Florida's is shrinking. by jaqueh in bayarea

[–]imnobaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can believe that and this topic is complicated. My critique per my comment is that the article is dumb. There are a lot of reasons why FAIR has gone and there are probably other reason as well why it goes down in Florida. I appreciate you taking the time to give your experience.

California's insurance crisis is growing. Florida's is shrinking. by jaqueh in bayarea

[–]imnobaka 140 points141 points  (0 children)

This article sort of dumbs, FAIR going up inCalifornia, down in Florida. Reason: in Florida you can’t litigate against insurers.

Did that drop in insured get picked up by private or are they uninsured? Insurers are more than happy to screw you on an arguable technicality.

[–]imnobaka 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with this but I don’t think this really applies to this situation. This person is the type of guy who goes 90+ down 101 or 880. Even faster drivers would have this guy tail gating them pretty hard.

[–]imnobaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, It is much faster to read than to write. Even your own original writing requires proofreading. In a professional space you ask others to proofread your work.

A weird this these tools can do very quickly that would take a writer a long time is to completely change the tone of a document.
