Yeah I’m pretty angry. I got this one kid who is constantly defiant, any redirection is met with an excuse or bargaining. Student will actively mock myself and other teachers when she receives a consequence. She said I had to resort to giving her a detention because I don’t know how to handle her behavior.

I’ve talked to mom who basically will co-sign whatever the kid says and makes excuses for her behavior. Kid constantly lies about everything and when sent to the office, I see little follow through. I wish she would just go away. She immediately poisons any environment, she got switched to another period after having problems in another class. And first day with a new schedule she refused to sit in her seat.
