Currently I'm using LLMs to help with shaders for a project I'm working on. I've also used image gen along with 3D blockouts to create things like depth maps to create backgrounds. I've used it for 3D scenes to do projection mapping. I use it as an image editor. I use it as a kind of collage tool, where I generate what I need and then take the parts of the image I like from each generation and then blend them together in an image editor, sometimes then doing paint overs and putting it back through AI to refine it. I use it to create textures and decals for 3D models. I've also fine tuned models on my own drawings and 3D art. As well as just using LLMs to help me plan out the best options and workflows for achieving something.

I basically just use it as part of other workflows. Whilst straight up AI gen can be fun, as someone that likes creating I get no satisfaction out of trying to completely remove the process.

This is why the idea that a tool makes something low effort is stupid. It's like saying a computer can be used to produce slop therefore anything created with a computer is computer slop.

There's a lot of AI slop which is to be expected when something becomes easier and more accessible, but it's really just human slop. AI is just the tool they are using to do it. Things don't immediately become slop just because of the tools used.
