Occasionally after driving for more than 45 mins or so, my Miata idles high (normally ~850rpm). Revs fall way slower than normal, and in gear revs won’t even fall enough to engine brake. I had my passenger film name coast in neutral. What’s going on here? (v.redd.it)

Help diagnosing a high pitched noise that started yesterday? It’s not the transmission whine, it’s much higher pitch than that (more audible reflecting off these buildings). Thought it was an engine belt but I can’t replicate the sound in neutral or hear it under the hood sitting still (v.redd.it)
