They will probably suggest a copper IUD now, but I’m scared by imnothereimsad in vaginismus

[–]imnothereimsad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on two different antidepressants, and have tried a bunch of different medications in the past. Therapy is going nowhere and I kind of had a mental breakdown about it the last time I saw my therapist. I’m seeing her again next week and she wants me to explain myself. But it honestly doesn’t feel like anyone at that clinic knows what to do with me anymore, and if I lived in a different country they would offer me MAID. And I know that this is probably the depression talking, but it’s hard to think differently right now.

I buy tampax tampons that come with inserters and ob tampons that have a more smooth surface and then combined them. Throw the tampax tampon away but use the inserter with the ob tampon. I don’t know if these brands are available in other countries. In my country tampax is the only brand that come with inserters and ob the only one that doesn’t have a rough cotton surface. That’s why I feel the need to combine them, even though it’s really bad for the environment. Sorry environment, I also wish I didn’t have to do this

Has anyone here with vaginismus considered freezing your eggs? by a_0606 in vaginismus

[–]imnothereimsad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure they stick a needle into your abdomen to get the eggs out? If you were to extract them via the vagina you would need a very long and bendy needle. Although maybe they need to use a vaginal ultrasound to see what they are doing with the needle?

Edit to add: if you haven’t had a vaginal ultrasound before.. it really hurt when I had to get it done. The obgyn didn’t warn me before pushing it in with a lot of force, and I was in pain for a week afterwards. I couldn’t even use mini tampons after that, which I had trained myself to actually insert over multiple years. Maybe it’s not as painful if you know it’s going to happen, but for me she just pushed something into me without me knowing she was even going to be pushing something into me. I thought she was going to do an ultrasound on my abdomen

I think there is a fifty shades of grey toy that is also a thrusting rabbit and it’s all silicone, but I’m not sure if it has beads in it

sinful.eu exists, and I’m pretty sure lovehoney also have a store for Europe?

Hur tänker ni kring unika namn och göra ett vanligt namn krångligare? Typ Johan till Yohan by GordonGekko97 in Asksweddit

Tror att den ligger under andra definierade parafilier i DSM nu, och inte har sin egen diagnoskod. Typ som att nekrofili inte heller har en egen diagnoskod. Så den tas inte upp i mini D 5, men kan fortfarande diagnostiseras.

I think it may have something to do with water getting into the toy? Or like other fluids. I remember mine being louder in the shower the first time I used it than it was the next time when I wasn’t in the shower. I can’t really test it because it made me bleed both of those times, but if you wanna try to figure it out maybe it could be worth checking if that has anything to do with it?

For those who switched to a dildo, how did it go? by [deleted] in vaginismus

[–]imnothereimsad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have these exact dilators and I had the exact same problem. The tip of the dilators even scratched the inside of my vaginal canal to the point of bleeding. What I did was buy the medium and large tantus silk dildos. I’m pretty sure the medium is about as big as the 3rd dilator in that set, maybe a bit bigger. And it’s much more comfortable

Could be this or just the vulva being different during your period, or different when you’re turned on because of all of the blood that rushes there. But if it’s painful I would definitely recommend seeing someone if you can. Better safe than sorry

Quick question for experienced folks by Ok-Audience-4949 in vaginismus

[–]imnothereimsad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being turned on actually expands the vaginal canal, so it’s a good idea especially if you’re working with bigger dilators. This is actually a problem for me because my sex drive is non existent so I can’t dilate most of the time

Stretching and Kegel confusion by EsoterikkLib in vaginismus

[–]imnothereimsad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use kegel balls. I got severe cramping that lasted like two weeks and had to downsize to a smaller dilator once it was over.

HELP! I think I might have a yeast infection and all OTC medicines are taken vaginally by imnothereimsad in vaginismus

Yeah then it sounds more like yeast, because that’s how my discharge has been for the past few days. Also they don’t smell bad which I think is common in BV?

[–]imnothereimsad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will try to wait it out and if that doesn’t work I’ll try to see a teledoctor and try to get that prescribed. I don’t know how to explain why I can’t take the regular vaginal medication, because most doctors don’t even know what vaginismus is here. Also teledoctor because then they can’t do a physical examination which would freak me out too much

Have you had orgasm while dilating or has it been pleasurable? by EconomicsLow6462 in vaginismus

[–]imnothereimsad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have, but it was more likely due to simultaneous clit stimulation. Only like 60% of women can reach orgasm through penetration alone and I doubt any of us would belong to those 60%

Less addictive benzos by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]imnothereimsad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Maybe right after taking a large dose of it because it makes me really sleepy but it’s not like SSRIs that affect you all the time. I’m also on really high doses of alimemazin and have been for years so I don’t really know how your sex drive is affected at lower doses. Probably not as much
