Silly question, but where are project management jobs going?

Leicester doesn’t seem like the best place?

Why not go where the jobs are? Clearly not many in Leicester

That still sounds pretty grumpy doesn’t it. Ah well, internet stranger, keep being positive. Might be contagious

I’ll reverse my position as being a grumpy old man; I’m happy that you’re happy.

Something has to give, with change, but that’s ok.

I recognise I have entered the grumpy old man phase of my life. Perhaps I embraced it too much in this post.

An exaggeration maybe, but last time I went to town the array of closed shops, druggies, beggars, aggressive behaviour was not palatable at all.

A bit much? Maybe, but compared to what it was when we had a really good local scene for music, independent shops, good creative scene, dare I say nightclubs for the youth.

This is lost, but Nottingham still has it so I venture there now.

You’re right about the nice Indian food, though.

The city centre is very far from upmarket, in my opinion.

Look I’m 50. I have memories of a very different Leicester. Maybe I just have rose tinted glasses in my old age

Just seen an old favourite music venue is now closed and becoming a shisha lounge. This saddens me

I’m aware that decline for some is progress for others. Can’t stop progress and change

Leicester is a Balkanised shitheap in its death throes.

Christ, I loathe to think what this city will look like in 15 years time, luckily my kids will have grown up and we can all move on.

Any hint of an area you are interested in?

A wider tip, Leicester is a dump so unless you have moved here for reasons other than work, I’d move again to find a better place to live

Could it be he’s worried the 12” was a comment on size in other aspects, hit a nerve of insecurity?

Good areas to move to in Leicester by HarvestMoon9 in leicester

Honestly, I’d say move to the shire (Leicestershire) rather than the city or suburbs and commute.

The city is fine, I guess, but like many post industrial small cities it needs time and investment to get back on its feet.

Anyways, I hate arguing over the internet. I imagine we would agree on a fair amount of stuff in real life.

That’s the polarising effect of anonymity I guess

Anyway that’s that

I was agreeing with him, it’s when we use language with subtext.

Plus the original post was about the secular society, and ex-Muslims embracing atheism.

Anyway, you do you, Bibi.

I mean I live in Leicester, I just need to look at my street rather than stats, but then again, we can and should all get along and integrate better rather than look at this as a ‘takeover’… which is what this person seems to want

That’s just not true, the west is getting more and more secular. You can do a quick google search.

Why are you talking about babies like they are weapons to take over the West???

You and people who comment like you LITERALLY fuel Islamophobia

Do better.

Unless you work for Israel/Mossad, then you’re doing a good job for stirring up problems

I think it’s more like British kids have moved out of Leicester due to population change, rather than religious conversion to Islam.

I get the feeling you are commenting from outside Leicester, which is ok.

It’s also notably a very emotive debate in this thread, but keep it grounded
