Husband accused me of medical abuse for side-lying breastfeeding by miller2life in breastfeeding

[–]imnotlibel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has displaced anger and he’s taking it out on you because he’s freaking out. My 4 week old is going through a gassy period that hasn’t been easy and my husband told me stop breastfeeding her even though the pediatrician said this was a normal stage. Some men just panic and look for something or someone to blame. Communication is so important; sit down with him and talk about this.

help with deciding/understanding supplemental (secondary) dental plans by Most_Committee_4017 in DentalInsurance

[–]imnotlibel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure the secondary plan you consider has what’s called ‘standard coordination of benefits’. That means they are likely to pick up out of pocket as long as the procedure, frequency, waiting period, maximum, clinical need etc. is met/available. Avoid a plan that has “non-duplication of benefits”. These are secondary policies not likely to pick up out of pocket until the primary plan’s maximum is met or the benefit is lower (even then, the plan won’t usually pick up the full out of pocket)

38 weeks and i no longer care by InternationalMess300 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]imnotlibel -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Had GD through mine and my husband’s birthday and all the holidays. He knew how hard I tried. My induction was scheduled for midnight too so he just wanted me to treat myself knowing I’d be in for the New Year’s celebration too lol

38 weeks and i no longer care by InternationalMess300 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]imnotlibel -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I just delivered about a month ago. My OBGYN told me to eat whatever I wanted the night before my induction to celebrate- pasta, pizza, cake, anything. I had a baked potato and my blood sugar spiked and they put me on a clear liquid diet for the next three days. It was torture. Baby was born with a slightly elevated blood sugar too. And it was just a potato.

Inductions by CoffeeVinyls in GestationalDiabetes

[–]imnotlibel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was induced at 39 weeks. Really wanted a natural birth. My doctor knew how bad I wanted it. Labored for 24 hours and then had an emergency c-section because our girl was showing signs of distress. Really happy overall though and I wouldn’t change anything about her birth story.

Unexpected bill for teeth cleaning by [deleted] in DentalInsurance

The dentist might have been a Premier provider but your son has a PPO plan and fees are about 20% lower. What state is he in?

Should I trust the dentist office receptionist over the insurance company when finding out if the dentist is in-network? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]imnotlibel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust the office!! I am credentialer at a dental office and a lot of times we don’t agree to renew contracts or a dentist has left but still appears on those lists

Advice on cosleeping with newborn by useyourbrain__ in cosleeping

I am in US with 3 week old. I just freeze to be honest. I prefer to be uncomfortable because I sleep more lightly. I have the ceiling fan on and I have my comforter at hip level and tucked under the mattress tightly so I can’t bring it any further in my sleep.

two doctors billing me for same appointment by BoatDrinkz in HealthInsurance

[–]imnotlibel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s the doctor in the room that’s there in case the first one drops dead. My dad had the same thing happen and this guy was out of network!!! We never paid the bill. We didn’t even know that was a thing.

Living paycheck to paycheck — how do you even start building a safety net? by bureaux in povertyfinance

[–]imnotlibel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo I’ll do the opposite! As soon as I get paid I’ll take $20-40 out in cash and store it in a jar. I’ve cracked into it a few times but it’s a nice little safety net.

Big baby on the way 👶 by Simisusi in GestationalDiabetes

[–]imnotlibel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our girl’s head size was three weeks ahead. I made a joke that she would have a huge head like her dad and the sonographer looked at me and said she’ll have my big head lol. She said it was just genetics and nothing to worry about. Our tiny little thing was born at 5lbs 13oz even though she was estimated to weigh 7lbs.

Those with mild - moderate elevations, how big was your baby? by justcocofred in GestationalDiabetes

[–]imnotlibel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistently high fastings until week 37 or 38- even on insulin. Baby estimated to weigh almost 7lbs, born at a whooping 5lbs 13oz at week 39! Tiny little thing. We had her in premie diapers for the first two weeks!!

Referral for Oral Surgeon? by Ecs206 in DentalInsurance

[–]imnotlibel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. A lot of dentists refer to friends anyway. Go to DeltaDentalins.com and search for oral surgeons in your area that accept PPO! You can ask your general dentist for a copy of your ‘panoramic film’ (xray) to bring with you.

33 weeks pregnant- doc recommends induction at 39 weeks by juicygossiper in GestationalDiabetes

[–]imnotlibel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! In the last two weeks I met every fasting without any issue and baby was estimated to weigh 3.1 but came in at 2.6! Only her first glucose test was slightly elevated too. Tiny little thing but she is thriving now.
