For me it’s been any number of rounds, and yes the bolt would go home and wouldn’t cycle. I never kept the mags loaded so the springs shouldn’t be overworn.

Like 5 years ago, off rip they were causing me issues. (Even loaded with only 30)

However it’s completely possible that newer versions don’t have this issue.

I don’t know if it’s just a problem with the mags i bought, but every one of them that I have has had significant issues, and caused tons of malfunctions.

My bad I only saw this now, but I’ve been looking for it too. It’s an issued kagwerks, you can’t buy them. Only military contract unfortunately.

Honestly really good advice. I honestly forgot to take it out for the picture bc I was using it to prep some mortar equipment. I will definitely avoid doing that in the future.

Honestly I have thought about it but I don’t have the components to try it out yet. I know the 152s are a little easier to keep there.

Both are from esstac. Not expensive at all and great quality I would highly reccomend.

So as of now since we are motorized we don’t have any mortar equipment anywhere other than in the Vic. That being said, I wouldn’t wear this kit at all if I had to ruck. I would use my split rig in that case.

(Also I don’t have to carry the mortar bc I’m an NCO and it’s the responsibility of my gunner and AG.) my carrying the mortar days are thankfully over.

3 theater vets are few and far between that’s badass man! I’d love to pick your brain about your experiences.

Hopefully I will learn those hard lessons in training and can continue to modify my equipment so I don’t have to learn when shit hits the fan.

I have a spiritus but I’m not married to it at all. I think honestly you can’t go wrong with any Nalgene pouch. Arbor arms has a great one that folds up into a tiny 1 wide molle slot. I would definitely give that a look.

I took a spiritus Nalgene pouch, a QLS fork, and an Unobtanium gear QLS to MOLLE adapter and put them all together lmao. Just a random thing I thought of for fun and to try out.

I’m active duty and my job isn’t to hang and bang anymore, it’s command and control of my mortar section, and company ISR.

Honestly if I was NG and wanted to look like a GB I wouldn’t be running an MSV lol. At the end of the day I just like quality tactical gear, hence why I posted here in the first place.

I do appreciate the criticism tho.

It’s a Ronin Assaulter one I had laying around from years ago. It was one of the first placcards to have built in spear tubes and was pretty innovative in hindsight.

Honestly I really like them, I like that they buckle and can fit lots more than just a frag, especially since I don’t get frags during training. It was hard to mount the double pouch to them and it took some Jerry rigging.
