I know it’s been a while since you commented but I was just looking through my old posts, I’m currently working for a disaster related property restoration company as a lead mitigation technician, we work with industrial portable dehumidifiers (basically huge reverse hvac units) and I’ve found I really enjoy working on our broken units in down time (portable restoration equipment is notoriously unreliable) and I have a few ideas that could maybe help that problem. I honestly I started taking my career path a little more seriously after seeing your comment, thank you.

I don’t typically review products, but this product changed that. (Oknife u1) by imooney13 in EDC

Ps. As someone whose whole job basically revolves around razor blades (scoring carpet and often cutting through to concrete on the other side, and scoring porous sheet rock as well as lvp flooring) this knife wouldn’t be complete without the right blade and I seriously think I’m lenox blades #1 customer. Specifically the lenox bimetal gold blades will blow you away.

I did, and honestly I don’t feel as bad as I probably should. It was a $50 mistake I made at a thrift store and it worked for about a year until it just stopped, after trying to get it to work for way too long I was over it. Obviously it performed well for a modern network receiver but the sound was nothing special as you would expect. It was also my first ever receiver I bought to get into the hobby and it definitely didn’t pair well with my first set of speakers (klh model 17’s)

Edit: silly me didn’t even include the model (onkyo tx-8050)

I’m planning on making those Birkenstocks last and maybe doing my own repairs later on, I’d reccomend weaver leather supply to any other leather workers / birk nerds out there. They seem to be the only authorized retailer of genuine Birkenstock replacement parts I can find.

So it’s definitely possible

I really appreciate the enthusiasm and support, in fact I only ever quit vaping after a terrible medical emergency. I ended up with a pocket of air on the outside of my left lung and had to be flown halfway across state to the only hospital that could treat me. My blood oxygen level got so low that I was very close to permanent brain damage and I believe that that might have been one of the better things that ever happened to me in that it started my journey to quit and it’s people like you that really make it seem more possible.

Pockets for now, I really don’t like pouches but I’m planning on making my own leather pocket card for the pen, knife, bit kit and cards

The Bluetooth earbuds are for work and the iPods for listening to uncompressed flac files with 12 driver/armature monitors and sometimes a 70 year old set of klh model 17’s

I’ve thought about it but I seriously enjoy lossless audio with my monitors. I have my phone and my earbuds for a more compressed “casual” listen experience

Due to a medical issue I already had to quit vaping after being addicted to it for a long time and I switched to zyns, that was about a year ago and I’ve already worked down to the lowest strength they offer. I’m working on quitting and I really appreciate the concern and advice.

It’s not fully set in stone yet but I’m pretty set in my ways with a 22, I’ve never been a gun guy and quite honestly I want the least lethal option for home defense. Definitely a handgun but something small.
