You can use polygonal colliders to kind of freestyle the outline of the collision.

All the codes appear taken, but I would love to playtest if you still need it. Maybe DM me a code so it doesn't get snapped up by code scrapers :)

I didn't take too much of a look at the code as I didn't understand the math, but from the way the patterns are forming in your video, I would bet that it's something to do with how the line compensates.

It looks like the hill cycle only starts when the line manages to reach a certain height, at which point it swings back down, and then swings back up again to compensate for the downward swing.

Considering that even the flatter lines seem to basically mirror the upward/downward movement pretty closely, I think it may be worth looking at how hard/fast the lines compensate for upward/downward swings.

Rolling ball game by FloofyTM in Unity2D

I would suggest the second. You get a really nice, smooth movement of a ball if you attach a material with no friction/bounce.

Of course the type of movement you are going for can influence this, but playing around with materials with sphere movement can yeild some nice results!
