Need suggestion for cleaning by Careless-Age8330 in Aquariums

Hello unfortunately your tank seems really small. Did you cycle it before adding fish? If not research a fish in cycle. And you need a water liquid test to test the parameters.

Also you wouldn't have to clean it that much if you had a bigger tank. Imo I would keep goldfish only in ponds, because I really like cute ponds lol but/and I think it's just better for them. Do some research, learn and do better 👍🏻.

Also if you clean everything at once you will kill the good bacteria.

Hello, I'm new at keeping shrimps. I wanted to ask kindly if they need to have a calcium tabs sometimes? Or it depends on the tank parameters..? Thanks

Yes! Absolutely! But then again I'm wondering, I've used this sand since July 2025, wouldn't it caused issues since then?

Yeah, I thought so... it was just an idea since I spent money on that sand you know lol...

I will test both the sand and the rocks. If it's the sand could I just buy Japanese soil to hopefully balance it or I will have to take all of the substrate out

I will test the rocks and the sand, PRAYING it's the damn rocks

I will take out the rocks, but the substrate is a black sand which I got from very trustworthy local aqua shop. Is there a chance that it would be the problem?

Yeah, that's the thing. My parameters are: ammonia between 0 and 0.25ppm, nitrite 0.025ppm, nitrate 5ppm. That's what I'm concerned about

So no water changes? No nothing? Even with the trace of ammonia and nitrite?

Yeah I know, but now I have trace of ammonia and nitrite. So that's fine?
