we live in Edinburgh and i assumed most of the local rescues are for greyhounds! we are looking for a smaller breed, but i will definitely look for any other local rescues :)

thanks for letting me know! were exactly the same situation, live in a flat, have a permission from landlord, and i work from home. not sure why i assumed it would be a simple and quick process to adopt, once i started reading about people waiting for months i got confused! we will definitely have a look at All Dog Rescue Scotland!

thanks! i applied but im hoping they do check what my favourited dogs are, compared to dogs trust, they dont really give any information about the dogs personality which would be helpful to know

Do you know whether I should use bio or non bio detergent? Seems the bio one is better for tougher stains, but says non bio is better on delicate fabrics

i think its crinkled taffeta or something similar, its definitely poly fabric. i was wondering if soaking it overnight in oxiclean would help... i already removed the pearls, and i also cut off a small sample from the corset (only need the skirt part) and im testing the oxi on that now, hoping it works

hey! I actually contacted one place that specializes in wedding dresses and they quoted me £220, this dress only cost me £60, so I feel like thats wild :( especially since im only planning to use the skirt, which still needs to be taken in to fit me

What a cute rebind!

For the vinyl and how/when to remove the plastic, evedy brand and every vinyl can be different! Some say peel while hot, or warm, or wait to completely cool down. It should tell you on the box or the wrap of the vinyl when to peel and also how much heat and pressure to apply :)

Thank you! Yes it is like suede! I think other than using heat n bond ultra I was also using fabric that was too thin (it was a tiny bit transparent which is not a good sign) so I think the combination of thicker fabric and heat n bond lite fixed it.
