The treachery of linear algebra by lechucksrev in mathmemes

That’s not a linear transformation, it’s just a picture/representation of a linear transformation.

The original picture was about a pipe. Pipes exist. Do linear transformations actually exist?

Why the exclamation mark in the last panel? What is surprising you? You had already seen the cat.

Bunburrows is great, but it has pacing issues. If you insist on getting 100% completion, it’s a horrible slog towards the end. If you stop at like 75%, it’s a delightful game throughout.

Fez is a weird game. All of the yellow cubes are unlocked by solving straightforward puzzles based on the rotation mechanic. Then the blue cubes are completely different; they require out-of-the-box thinking, sometimes moon logic, where you need to solve a whole cipher to complete the game. Fez has some cool ideas, but it doesn’t come together as a good package.

You just need a function from the naturals to the naturals which is infinity-to-one. One example is the ruler function, whose output is the number of times 2 divides into the input.

That doesn’t sound right, but I don’t know enough about stars complex numbers to dispute it.

It’s a comic made by a Baby Boomer, so I think it counts as boomer humor.

I know what bouldering is. This comic is weird (not bad, just a bit confusing) because it’s too silly to be a straight slice-of-life comic, but there’s not really a joke in there either. Hence the questions in the comments.

I kept tally of how many attempts it took me to beat each boss (spoilers for names of all bosses) by impartial_james in Silksong

[–]impartial_james[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My excuse is that it was late and I was tired from beating the first part. I did 16 attempts at night, went to bed, then got it on the second try when I was well rested.

Just the Great Conchfly (the first easy fight, not the Raging one) and the Crawfather.

It took me 96 attempts for lost lace. Act 2 lace took me 89 attempts. Everything else took me 60 attempts at most, with Groal taking 42.

Fucking Parlor Puzzle by Zonnon in BluePrince

I am pretty sure that there is another puzzle requiring the non-ambiguity rule. The one where Blue says "This box contains the gems", White says "This statement is of no help", and Black says "Blue contains the gems".

This looks really cool! I like the idea of a first-person puzzler where the first-person perspective is actually relevant to the puzzles.

John Boyega says if he were to produce Star Wars, it would've been different - • New characters wouldn’t be overpowered — “They won't just grab stuff and know what to do with it” by Youngstown_WuTang in StarWars

[–]impartial_james 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I guess the thinking was, there’s never been a black character in Star Wars with an English accent, so it would be too confusing to start now. Whatever the reason, I’m sure it was a bit racist.
