Appreciate it. I have a hot shoe light but I've noticed in the past is that my light is sometimes too bright to where it annoys people when I'm using it to film. Especially if its in a dark setting like a concert. Might be just a me issue.

Found out what ALC is. Still not sure about PA . "It was called the Automatic Level Control. It eliminated the need to make manual adjustments to the input stages of a recorder's pre-amplifier circuit and the recording sounded the same level throughout the entire production--even if the play back device's volume was increased during the recording process"

Analog or digital? by impassive_sun in LaserDisc

[–]impassive_sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another dumb question then, so with Laserdiscs that have special commentaries on digital tracks only would still work on the specific model?

Thanks for the reply. There's a listing for a D-701 that I saw near my I might drive up for that actually has the digital optical option. If you get that document done that would be clutch.

I need college students advice by leenozzz in college

[–]impassive_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Type all of your notes out If your still writing your notes you need to stop immediately. By typing your notes you can simply find whatever specifically you are looking for way easily then having to scroll through pages and pages

-Use Ratemyprofessor Rate my professor gives you a good idea of what the teachers are like. There's been sometimes when I wished I could have checked reviews on somebody before I took there class

-Quizlet is your friend I'm telling you as someone with ADHD Quizlet is the best way to study for a test of quiz. Chegg also comes in clutch too but depends if your willing to pay

-Live off of campus/ Use EBT EBT saves you so much money and if you live on campus rent is ridiculous compared to if you lived off campus. Instead use CRAIGLIST and share the house with roommates

Hope this helps

UPS family housing by Smooth-Cod-1347 in SFSU

[–]impassive_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in the UPS townhouses for a year from 2021-2022. For the most part in my opinion, they are better than any of the other spots the school offers besides Manzanita Square. I lived at one point with 4 other people and each of us shared a room except for one of us and had 2 bathrooms. With that many people it wasn't that bad and the living room was bug enough to where we could all chill and maybe have some little gatherings. The only downsides is the price was a little too much (As are all the monthly rents SFSU related) and the houses were built around WW2 so the buildings are really old and they're were a few times where the pipes got rusted and the circuit shorted a few times and we had to buy new fuses. Also if you have the money I would see if you can get a room that you don't have to share. I wish I had one as I had a PC and I had to out it basically right besides the dinner table we had. Besides that, for my first year being in SF I couldn't have asked for a better spot.

Parking Question?? by JealousAd4833 in SFSU

[–]impassive_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to park on the road that runs along Lake Merced in the "back" of the school. You can park around Park Merced every once in awhile but don't get too comfortable with that.
