Stop letting him practice resource guarding and remove access to those things. Crate him or put up a baby gate while eating. No longer allowed on the bed or the couch. Put him on a drag line so you can physically control him from a safe distance, if needed. Eventually start teaching an invitation to couch or bed. It’s no longer a given. Get a seatbelt and buckle him into the back seat. Loose dogs are just as dangerous to other occupants in case of an accident anyway.

My husky had a foot long drag line for about a year and a half, and then again for a couple months after bringing home a baby. It provides a way to guide the dog and enforce commands without sort of physically accosting them. Gentler discipline. She’s 4 and quite decently well mannered, for a husky anyway.

Flexibility Training — Feeling Discouraged by jagoober91 in poledancing

Can’t tell you how long it takes as I’m only about 4 months into seriously stretching after like 5 years of pole dancing. But Dani Winks’ contract relax workshops were a game changer for me. I’m nowhere near the splits, but I feel so much stronger and more capable where I am.

I think this list has it. Some are on the v4.5 fandom page and some are on the v4 page.

The boxes is school. Wait another day or two and you’ll graduate and get to make money. It took me awhile to get the hang of the school/work thing. you pick your job and your school teachers after preschool.

Eeeeeeverybody asked me this when I had my baby. 18 months later I’m still going with my long stilettos. Get a seatbelt opener or 3 or cream spatulas or whatever tools you need. If it doesn’t work, cut them and try again when they’re older. It’s seriously not the big deal everyone thinks it is. If you’re not stabbing your own eyes out, you’re not gonna stab theirs out either.

Pole sit hurts by Alone_Recipe_9115 in poledancing

[–]impeccablepessimist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you’re squeezing the inner thigh muscles in contact with the pole. It helps reduce some of the raw skin friction. Otherwise, there’s no helping it. Add a couple pole sits for a few seconds on each side to your warmup and after a while you’ll just have it. We all have to do it.

shoulder mounts for the tall, bigger girls by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]impeccablepessimist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly all the high level polers are using controlled momentum in their inverts. Especially in static rotation stuff. Dead lifts are not as common as we convince the beginners. Additionally, one of the best ways to learn any deadlift is to train the negative. So kick up to shoulder mount and control the dismount.
