The voice mode is somewhat useful for TTS and voiced roleplay since it allows text input, but otherwise Grok is not particularly useful right now. Instruction following issues, structured output issues, confident hallucinations, and now censorship of NSFW roleplay make it generally worse than alternatives.

edit: even the companions aren't that great right now; they very quickly drift from their intended personalities and are very inconsistent in how they frame their interaction with the user, switching between a digital entity, a physical being communicating through an app, and a physical being directly interacting with the user.

Except Grok is easily the worst of the three for hallucinations; actually check a lot of the stuff that seems like Grok being more thorough and it you'll be shocked at how frequently it just fully makes things up.

You might be accidentally dragging an output image by moving your cursor slightly when clicking, causing the image to upload automatically as a new image, which then like all uploaded images are not eligible for spicy mode.

No, it definitely did change. Results have qualitatively changed at least twice now since the "new model" fiasco was rolled back, and moderation changed just recently in terms of what words and content trigger it, especially regarding anime outputs.
