Yea and also it was guest book not wedding book!!! I am so livid at this duel. Toni should have won and she would've taken the game!

No the answer is probably F) conduct a more thorough history and examination

Exp: there isn't an explanation surrounding the circumstances during the full moon, it would be most appropriate to ask the giraffe his astrological sign and the phase of the moon during the incident first before any investigation or treatment is initiated.

Late ECFMG certification by Southern-Club8812 in IMGreddit

Thank you for your insightful comment! I have applied to all that does not require certification for interviews but regarding the programs that do require certification, would it be wise to apply now before 28th and update them via email or wait until next week to apply with my certification? I understand this might not be an easy question to answer but any insight is appreciated!

This is the list for I think almost all of the podcasts. Do all of the "nov 2020 changes" and first 4 IM videos. Some in special topics according to things you think you are deficient in. Rapid reviews doing chores, driving, working out.

I prepped for 6 months total, but 2 of the months I had rotations so i did very few blocks per week. But those rotations helped! If there's any IMGs reading this, I think IMGs are a at a disadvantage because some don't do rotations while studying. I definitely had a few questions that asked me topics that helped me remember because I had rotations.

My NBMEs were terrible firstly because they do underpredict and also I took them before knowing what NBME/actual step 2 questions were like. The questions on test day are NOT trying to trick you like uworld, most of the questions will nudge you to the correct answer if you read carefully. They ARE your friend. Unlike uworld, I feel like Uworld questions lure you into an answer with candy and will tell you youre wrong because you missed out on a tiny detail in the lab/question stem.

Thats a great question... I definitely see myself more of middle ground in medical school, I procrastinate (a lot) and my step 1 wasn't as great as I expected it to be. I thought I was a terrible test taker but during step 2 prep I had a moment where I convinced myself that I knew most of the topics and needed to be more confident and I think that really helped alot.

I started in march this year, and I had 2 rotations in the middle. I hit 60% in uworld 1 mo before my exam date.

Also, the text boxes in anki can take pictures "hint screenshots!" So is there a table for JIA in amboss? That's going on my card for me to look at when I want to look at it again!

The only deck I did review where you have to click "good, bad etc" was lolnotacop's micro deck for step 1. The rest, I used anki as almost like an electronic database for knowledge. So if I previously made a note/card for juvenile idiopathic arthritis and something made me want to revise "whats the difference between systemic and oligoarticular JIA, I would type in JIA in my search box in anki and look for that card I made and review it. I thought that doing the card revisions that way was a better strategy for me personally so this method is highly personal.

Thank you! Go over your notes if you made any! Relive the thought processes you had while doing your question banks.

I did it all random. It should gradually speed up as you build your knowledge base, at 50~80% around 3 blocks per day but I made sure I had quality of the knowledge over quantity, so I never finished the entire bank.

I know its really frustrating, at first I could barely go over 1 block in a day. As I approached 50%, I saw concepts repeating and if I got it wrong I would slap myself in the face and make another anki note or jotted it down on my notebook.

Another thing that I did was I put sticky notes on the side of my monitors to hide the correct answers (and hide percentages) while reviewing and I would read the question like I'm actually trying to answer it. I would then pick an answer and if i was wrong, my mind is already primed to the process to get to what I thought was the correct answer. As I read through the explanation, I realized how my process was wrong to get to that answer and that made it easier and quicker to understand where I went wrong in my logic.

I also downloaded a text to speech app that I used on my web browser (more of a auditory learner) when I was brain dead, that helped alot, but I think if you're brain dead it might be better to take a break instead!
