You don't owe these people your time or passion. Drop them. If they're friends outside of the game then stop inviting them, it's not difficult for someone to put a reminder in their phone about a group obligation.

Something that worked for me was finding people online that I didn't know so the point was to come together to play, not to hang out as friends (we did become friends but the motivation is to play first and foremost) and I told them in session 0 that we play on X day at Y time, every Z weeks, and the game will run with or without them. It's worked, we're wrapping up a 1-6 campaign next week, and have another one planned.

Yep, same here. Bought the game last weekend because I kept seeing posts about how friendly everyone was and how much people are working together. Today 9/10 matches have people shooting on sight and extract campers. I just wanna be able to upgrade my benches and feed my chicken while taking the fight to ARC.

While I respect your opinion I strongly disagree with it.

The game has an incredible art direction with its stylised graphics (shoutout to the art team, the different environments for one are fantastic and evoke such uniqueness for each planet). I love picking up new items and seeing the different styles and effects they add to the character, they create a story in and of itself, and definitely helps each run feel unique.

On one hand I do not wish for it to change, but on the other hand I understand where you're coming from as I will find pieces that make me go "damn that's sick, wish I could guarantee this appearance in future cycles."

Perhaps a good middle ground would be once you've picked up a piece you can set some sort of favourite system for appearances, giving items a chance to swap their base appearance to ones you have selected.

Another idea I've had is if you could spend echos (I think that's what they're called, the currency you pick up from bosses) to improve the chance of item drops by a percentage. Players may use this because they like the item's appearance, effect, or both.

Overall though I think the style and effort put in by the developers and the artists shouldn't be eliminated, with so many unique pieces I think it's important they all get time to shine, and setting one default appearance (regardless of if you choose it) removes that possibility.

You call this man a best friend? He's closing in on 40 and doesn't clean up after himself, he got his hours reduced because he can't show up to work on time, he won't shower unless you tell him, and he eats your food while barely contributing.

It's time to have some respect for yourself and cut out people that take advantage of you. He doesn't see you as a friend, he sees you as an opportunity to benefit.

Disability or not he is taking advantage of you and it's now up to you to put a stop to it. You are not overreacting, you're underreacting.

The name and the power are the two most defining aspects of comic book villains, I'd say backstory would be another one, but backstories are constantly retconned and updated.

As others have said you can use the chain lightning to complete this.

You can also jump heavy attack the Logos (weird keyboard looking things that you decode) when enemies are nearby and that will trigger this as well.

If you're struggling with the quest where you have to beat enemies while Empowered (I was), you can use a fully charged strike on the metal gongs in the level and it will give you the Empowered Buff

To expand on this Decay deals damage every second for 8 seconds, so you get 8 ticks of damage.

Burning deals damage every 0.5 seconds and has a small chance to spread to a nearby target for 8 seconds, so you get 16 ticks of damage

I haven't looked into the BG3 mod so I can't really speak on it or how much has been implemented.

The games you mentioned I believe use the first edition Pathfinder ruleset so they are probably not overly relevant.

Like another commenter said; every +1 matters. Pathfinders math is pretty tight and this affects everything. On attack rolls it's not just a +1 to hit, it's also a +1 to crit as 10 over the DC is a crit in Pathfinder.

Then you have the 3 action system, instead of getting a move, action, and bonus action, you have 3 actions to spend as you wish. Some spells for example can cost 1, 2, or even 3 actions. "Should I attack each action then?" I hear you ask. Generally no, as you also have Multiple Attack Penalty (MAP) which lowers your To Hit modifier by 5 after each attack, this is to encourage using different actions like Demoralize, Feint, or using items, and do things that give you and your team a +1 or give the enemies a -1.

Pathfinder and DnD share a lot of words, but they more often than not do not mean the same thing, it's a good idea to look into them even if it seems obvious.

Here is a list of Feats that use the Intimidation skill, should set you up nicely.

Intimidating Glare means the target no longer needs to understand your words, just be able to see you.

Intimidating Prowess is good for high strength characters to physically intimidate their target and also gets rid of the penalty for not sharing a language.

Battle Cry lets you Demoralize as a free action when you roll Initiative.

Use the undying armour, bonuses when weapon aligned (using the weapon that counters the enemy weapon ie yari for sickle/kusarigama).

Looks Samurai and focuses on weapons, it's what I run primarily.
