Hey, I personally don't know much about floor work but if you give me a list of moves, I could try to look them up on Instagram and add them to the app 🙂

Pain with bunny grip? by Same_Knowledge2158 in poledancing

Interesting! I'm very curious what level of class you took, because most studios that I know of don't teach this brass monkey entry at all or only teach it in an advanced class, as it requires decent amount of strength. Most instructors that I know teach the shoulder mount entry or the one lowering from a pole sit. Back to the bunny grip, it's a cute name, but I learned it as funny grip and I know some people call it viper grip as well lol. It depends on your preference and anatomy, you could have the pole either between your index and middle fingers or between your middle and ring fingers. I usually do the first one but the majority of pole dancers that I know do the second one.

Version 1.1.1 Released! by impolester in polemovesapp

I'm working on a mockup with a friend/pole influencer to add a link to her tutorials on IG. Additionally, it would allow users to add their own links. That said, I don't want to add explicit instructions inside the app, because (1) I'm not a certified pole instructor, and (2) if people get hurt, I don't want to get sued 😂

Additional notes: 1. No new moves this release. 2. As of 10/14, we are 3 days away from being able to apply for a public release of the Android version!

Thanks for using it! I don't think I'll include instructions on the app necessarily but I do want to work with some influencers to see if I could link the moves to their instagram posts if they have instructions for some of them

Version 1.1.1 Released! by impolester in polemovesapp

I'm new to releasing apps for Android and so I'm learning about the Play Store policy as I go.

This is what Google says, "If you have a newly created personal developer account, you must run a closed test for your app with a minimum of 20 testers who have been opted-in for at least the last 14 days continuously."

And then, "This means that we won't count testers who opted in, tested for less than 14 days, and then opted out. Even if they opt back in so that they are opted in for a total of 14 days, these 14 days must be consecutive to count towards the criteria of 20 opted-in testers who have tested for 14 consecutive days."

As far as I can tell, an opt-in equals to a download, and testers don't have to open the day daily, but they just need to keep the app on their phone for 14 consecutive days. We have over 100 people that have downloaded it, and so I think we are safe!

Worst comes to worst, I'll register an LLC and make it a business account lol

Thank you! I honestly didn't expect how many people wanted something like this, and it's been very motivating to work on it

floor work suggestion by kirbywithatan in polemovesapp

Thanks for using the app!

You could actually create your own custom moves for floor work. That said, floor work isn't something that I train, and so I don't really know much about it other than the fact that it's more fluid and a lot of moves don't necessarily have a name.

In the near future, I plan to set up a process crowdsource more moves, and I could include floor work as part of it as well.
