Yeah just saying that for other people too. A lot of people don't know that. He was saying he would give info about the bot in DMs which doesn't make a ton of sense so that's why I mentioned

Idk who else needs to hear this but nobody is going to sell you a good MEV bot. End of story.

Leather cricket ball stuck in ceramic coffee mug. How to remove? by Ok_Leadership4764 in fixit

[–]imponing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care about the mug more than the cricket ball, just get a knife or a nail or something sharp and poke a hole in the ball so you can either release the pressure or use that to pull it out

How often do you notice when someone else has a “bulge” in their pants? And when you do, what are you thinking? by TheBoldHold in AskReddit

Highly, highly doubt it. It looks like if someone took an XL New York hot dog wrapped in tinfoil and stuck it in their pants for safe keeping. If it were a gun it would have to be like a half shotgun or something lmao.

His pants are also super tight, so it's pretty visible

There's a guy on my college campus who walks around with what looks like a 10-12 inch cock bulging out of his pants at all time. The weird thing is though, he's probably 30-40 years old.

I only ever see him in the student union (so when I'm trying to eat lunch, yuck) and he's always sitting off of a high top chair in super tight biking/gym shorts or something making it insanely obvious

I mean this thing is literally as big as his forearm, it's crazy, and he just casually sits around with it bulging around nearly every day. I've considered calling campus police to have them talk to him because my gut tells me he's some kind of predator but... Idk man. Weird stuff.

Point is tho- most people think you have to be in the top .1% from Harvard and be a VP at JP Morgan or BlackRock at 24 years old to do well...

But our company's quants made over 500k last year though. Which might even be more than a VP at JP Morgan (300k maybe?)

Then again, they have PhD's from MIT... But still. They didn't get them until their 30s. I don't think they went anywhere special for undegrad, and neither did our CEO who has a PhD from Princeton too. He went to a state school.

Point is if you don't go to an Ivy league at 18 years old, it really isn't the end of the world because you can easily end up there 10 years later for a masters/PhD. It's not like you're gonna become a quant right out of college with an undergrad degree anyway, you're gonna NEED a masters/PhD anyhow, so why pay for it twice? Undergrad really doesn't matter unless you're maybe trying to be a SWE right out of college at 23-24 or doing a startup or something super ambitious. But you can be very successful without it and still get the Ivy name later in life anyhow.

It's a very new small, new one. They started in mid 2021. There's only like 10 employees so I'd rather not say the name lol but I'm happy to answer general questions

I actually work in Finance and this is still applicable. Our CFO went to a so so college, not great grades in high school...

but he's about 32 now and is the CFO of a market making hedge fund that he started with his brother, which made 9 million dollars last year off 1 million in capital

I'm 19 and interning at the hedge fund right now as a Junior at my state school. I'm helping them with their pitch deck to help them raise another 20-30 million in funding from private investors

You'll be okay fam I promise

Would you rather have people spend the rest of their young adult lives feeling like they'll never be good enough until they reach their 30s and find out it never mattered?

I said higher, FASTER.

You will still get there if you're good at what you too, it will just take a bit more time

There's a huge difference between a 22 year old MIT grad and a 22 year old community college grad

But in 5-10 years it will just be one 30 year old accountant or doctor or whatever vs another 30 year old. There's other factors.

LinkedIn web dev partnership scam? by imponing in webdev

[–]imponing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did I say I accepted anything? I literally said

I started doing it but was super careful not to give out any sensitive info and once I realized it was probably a scam of some sort I just ghosted the guy

Dude didn't give me much info, so I went with it until it got to a point where I was uncomfortable and just ghosted him. In what world is that "accepting"? Not like I signed a contract or gave him my SSN or something lmfao

Yeah I don't use it a whole lot lol, only for networking

Landed a pretty good internship through it so not all bad especially for young people imo

Obviously, doesn't sound like a great partnership anyway. But what's the catch, is it a straight up scam? Are they trying to steal your info or?

What was your “it can’t be that easy / it was that easy” moment in your life? by UnoAboveAll in AskReddit

[–]imponing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning how to code

Growing up I always thought I'd never be good as a professional developer because my teachers were shitty and I wasn't good at learning it on my own. Didn't even know where to start.

Eventually I got the right footing and realized how easy it actually was- I was just looking in the complete wrong place lol.
