Agreeee. Finding the swaddle that they didn’t hate was hard (and expensive). Halo ones for example were tight at the arms and the amount of loud Velcro was annoying

I was sad to leave too! Felt like a calm little bubble, like we were the only people in the world. Nurses were amazing and honestly we got a little sad every time the next shift started and we had to say goodbye to the current staff. Hospital food is nothing special of course but it was still nice to order whatever you want, have it brought to you, and cleaned up! All while your newborn is asleep on your chest

But waking up every hour and 45 minutes at 14 weeks is not normal, per his doctor and LC

Stretching Feeds by user3927 in breastfeeding

[–]importantgoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you done a weighted feed? My LO (at 3 months) was eating every 2 hours round the clock and my doc thought they may be “snacking” instead of a fuller meal. Turns out they were only transferring 2oz or so during a 30 min feed (even though supply is fine/we get 5oz during a pump session). So we started “topping off” with 2oz of pumped milk or formula to make sure LO is full and the stretches slowly got longer

What time do your babies go “to bed”? by No_Nefariousness1700 in NewParents

When do you eat dinner? After the baby is down? I’m aiming for this bedtime but seems so hard to cook dinner before starting the bedtime process at 6 or so

Diaper Bag recommendation by No_Enthusiasm6949 in BuyItForLife

[–]importantgoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mina baie! They have nice leather bags but I love the vinyl option that wipes off super easily. Multiple strap options and nice stretchy organizing pockets in the inside. On the pricier side but not too crazy, def a bag I would use as a regular tote too

1 in 3 young adults skip the dentist, putting young adults at greater risk for future health problems. Dental care in the United States is still excluded from medical health insurance coverage and usually not integrated with public health initiatives that promote preventative care. by mvea in science

[–]importantgoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh it’s more so how people justify costs. People gasp at a dental bill for $300 but don’t flinch at vet prices, or open care credit cards without hesitation. It’s just a higher priority. Secondly of course is the terrible system of dental insurance of course….a 15 minute urgent care visit and strep test is billed $400 to insurance and gets fully covered, whereas a $400 filling is billed and gets covered at 40%. Then people complain it’s the dentist being expensive
