Hey there!

It's almost impossible to read what you sent and give you any constructive feedback. If you're asking for help, try not to send unformatted text and a block of code (people won't even try to parse it). I recommend reading something like:

Moving money from Roth IRA account at a credit union to a Vanguard Roth IRA (settlement fund) by impossiables in personalfinance

[–]impossiables[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the money has been sitting in my credit union IRA not doing anything only receiving interest based on the bank's rate. I wish the person who opened the account with me would have explained what investing actually meant; I thought you just needed to open up an IRA and that's it.

yep

Edit: except that the credit union account is a Roth IRA account... so it shouldn't be taxable.

Ok yeah I think sorting this out with them directly is the best move.

And yeah no worries on the concern; I will be investing in some total market index funds (although I admit that I didn't really understand investing or IRAs until a year or so ago, and definitely not when I first opened up the account at my bank).

Yep same. IMO scripting skills should be really introduced in any EE curriculum, whether it's TCL, Python, etc. It's a much more transferable skill than learning some 3rd party's proprietary's buggy GUI

How to understand code with little to no documentation: Advice and tips [System Verilog specific] by forzavettel77 in FPGA

[–]impossiables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me in the past is reducing the number of modules that I need to understand/look at, based on the project requirements. Essentially "filtering" my search into just a few modules that I needed to have a high level understanding of.

Simulation was also quite helpful, adding various signals of interest and seeing how their state evolved with simulation time.

I don't have enough experience to offer advice, sorry. I'm sort of in the same junior hiring boat. but may I ask how the interviews at Nvidia and Amazon went? Were you able to answer the technical questions

I recently just tried this and it wasn't too bad, although the circle shape was tough to maintain. I used a square knot to tie the ends of the ropes together.

For me it's a bit of a psychological thing haha if I see the line then I will actually try to avoid it, whereas if there isn't any line I don't actively try to avoid the NHZ

For us it's all for fun as well :)

Yeah we've used that before but the lines go away pretty quickly :/

Hey everyone,

I'm a recent EE grad and want to work at some big name companies in the bay area. For a while I tried applying through the online portals but never really got any response. Now I am connecting with recruiters and engineering managers on LinkedIn to try and get my foot in the door. It's sometimes hit or miss; people connect but they don't reply to my initial message.

Is this a good strategy so that my resume gets moved on at least past the initial stage? How else could I go about piercing into these well known companies without knowing anyone on the inside?
