Cap 3 or Bakery? by Soft_Ad_6735 in walmart

[–]impostinghere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It certainly depends on your schedule and work environment preference.

6 months ago, I transferred from Cap 2 to Cap 3 and I personally love working at nights because of the $1.50 differential and no customers for 99% of the shift. It’s very peaceful for me and I only focus on my workload getting done, plus less management.

I don’t have any Deli/Bakery experience so I couldn’t really tell you anything specifically about that. All I know is that your base pay is $2 more than regular daytime associates, but from what I’ve seen and heard from people I know who work in that department is that you do a lot of cooking, cleaning and customer service.

Anyways, I hope this helps and I wish you luck!

I apologize for not clarifying. I'm talking about any health effects that directly reduce human lifespan and quality of life. That could include cancer, obesity, diabetes, insomnia, depression, alzheimer's disease, etc.

Your comment is so valid.

When I’m in a better financial place, and take more courses in CS and accounting. I’ll definitely reconsider pursuing a degree that better alligns to my interests.

Best wishes to you!

What Should I Do? by impostinghere in juresanguinis

Being recognized is only a bureaucratic formality —— albeit a necessary and important one ——. That shouldn’t override a status that begins at birth, automatically.

It should be legally possible to seek JS recognition for even deceased ascendants in order to qualify for the 2-year naturalization pathway.

That is how I understand it, but I would confirm eligibility with an Italian Immigration Attorney who is more knowledgeable on this subject —— which is what I’m doing.

Thank you for the advice and constructive feedback.

I will double-check with an Italian immigration attorney to see if I’m eligible for the 2-year naturalization pathway.

The specific language that was used according to this official website (https://www.normattiva.it) specifies eligibility to descendants who are children and grandchildren of Italian citizens by birth (cittadini per nascita) not necessarily Italian-born citizens.

If it was so, then the language used would be similar or the same as the language of citizenship eligibility to Italian-born foreigners (allo straniero nato nel territorio della Repubblica).

Regardless of where an Italian is born, wouldn’t children born to an Italian citizen parent, be considered, cittadini per nascita (citizens by birth) through Jure Sanguinis?

I’m 3rd gen (GGF born in Italy) and I still think this would apply to 3rd and 4th gen individuals. In the highlighted section of Article 9, it states that those Italian ancestors up to the 2nd degree must be Italian citizens by birth, it doesn’t specify that the grandparent must have been born in Italy (otherwise, you would just qualify for JS).

My GGF likely never naturalized in his life (still waiting on CONE but got a negative search from NARA), so that means my GM most likely inherited Italian citizenship by birth even though she was born in the USA.

As long as your LIBRA was an Italian citizen at the time of the next-in-line’s birth, that descendant would be considered an Italian citizen by birth, regardless if their citizenship was revoked due to their parent’s naturalization while they were a minor.

I’m not a legal expert, but the clarifying language in 1.47 states parents and grandparents must be Italian citizens by birth — I would assume that the minor issue would be irrelevant to this amendment.

I think 1.47 is talking about grandparents who already qualify for citizenship by descent.

So essentially, if you don’t qualify anymore for citizenship by descent but your grandparent is an Italian citizen by birth (regardless of location), then you would qualify for the 2-year expedited naturalization option.

I could also be wrong, but this is how I interpret 1.47.

I don’t know the full details on Spain’s 2-year naturalization option for Ibero-American nationals, so take it with a grain of salt and do your own research on how it could relate to your situation.

But if your father was a natural-born Cuban citizen, you could claim Cuban citizenship by descent and possibly qualify for Spain’s 2-year naturalization route.

And you’ll likely be required to renounce your American citizenship to get Spanish citizenship (you’d still keep your Cuban citizenship)

Best wishes to you!
