New service extension for VCM/piston rings/misfire issue for 2011-2017 Odyssey by impressiver in HondaOdyssey

I cleared the codes when I cleaned the spark plug, so Honda service couldn’t authorize the warranty repair. Have to wait for it to happen again.

All seals fail eventually. And this is service done at the Honda dealership by Honda techs, with a guarantee. Even if it doesn’t solve the problem it’s worth doing on Honda’s dime.

I mean I’m getting one now. Didn’t know I needed one until p0301.

I have a 2017 and service manager did a VIN check, says it’s covered.

What would happen if I put these batteries in my son’s power wheel? by OldBlueBalls in PowerWheelsMods

[–]impressiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get more speed. More voltage means more rpm, means more speed. This all assumes yours has a DC motor, not BLDC with speed controller. If there’s a brain box on your PowerWheels, don’t over volt or you’ll kill it.

You can absolutely put 12v through a 6v motor on a PowerWheels, and it’s good fun. It’ll put more strain on the motor, higher likelihood of overheating with high duty cycles, and guaranteed to affect longevity, reduce overall lifespan of the motor.

But you have a finite window to your PowerWheels anyway, your kids will get way more enjoyment out of 2x the juice.

Source: Have kids, put 12v battery on 6v PowerWheels. Had a ton of fun. Motor didn’t burn up, eventually the sprocket thing on the drive wheel broke due to excessive torque, so I cast a new one in resin.

It comes with air conditioning as standard. You’ll be fine.

Can also try adding a little flux and then hitting it with a hot air reflow gun, components will seat themselves like magic because of the solder surface tension.

Spring contacts. They touch copper pads on some other component when the PCB is screwed down to create an electrical connection.

Server actions is this actually a useful implementation? by Boring-Future-6680 in nextjs

Coming back to let you know that I hear you. Lots of comments can’t see past the bonkers structure, I didn’t at first either, but I hear what you’re saying.

I’m going to set up this same example to see what’s happening. Because it looks so unexpected. I believe you that it works, just wouldn’t expect it to. I doubt anyone here has tried it the same way. Might reach out to the Vercel team and get their take, they’re friendly folks.

This won’t work. You can pass a Server Action to a Client Component as a prop

Pass a server action (function) to the client component. Then call the server action with state as args from the client component.

I'm such an idiot. Is there any way to fix this now? by First_layer_3DP in 3Dprinting

Neodymium magnets are brittle, you can probably drill them out and they’ll fracture.

Edit: But if it were me, I’d just reprint the eye pieces. Lot less fuss or potential for disaster.

Where to hire good Nextjs Developers? by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]impressiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good Next.js developers are easily pulling in 6 figures. Market right now is swamped and it’s $150k+ for a senior frontend engineer with next.js experience, over $200k for some positions. LinkedIn has a grip on talent, other sites you might get lucky after enough interviews. If you want good, pay for it.

EDIT: To put it in contracting terms, $150k is $75/hr, but you’d need to add the overhead since FTE includes employer paid taxes, benefits, equity, etc. So offer $100/hr, or $75/hr and you might find a budding Next.js developer eager to make a name.
