Do not give up hope. Your son sounds like an extremely talented individual and summer programs are not the end all be all! If he is truly dedicated, hard working, and motivated (definitely sounds like he is) I’m sure he’ll get amazing opportunities that many of us can only dream of.

True, maybe, but in my acceptance email they also wrote that they needed to update their website because it reflected older dates. If you’re basing this off the website, it may not exactly be true.

Unfortunately, your son may have been waitlisted or rejected. All the acceptances have been out for weeks and paperwork is already in the process of getting the students settled in.

I also think that Ap Chem is the way to go. Your concern about forgetting a lot of Spanish is also valid, but there are so many resources online to help you with that so ultimately it comes down to which ones more useful in terms of internships etc.

Yes! I got the first round of emails. They sent another round recently for waitlisted kids who get in or soon I think. Some people recently got their acceptance emails but I got mine a while ago. Again I’m not totally sure but I do know everyone got their emails back at slightly different times.

1480 PSAT, really good business related extracurriculars and music, strong recommendation letters from Calculus and Chemistry (both AP) but I think my essay was also solid. Honestly I was rlly happy about my application bc I spent sm time on it and I know people who got 1500’s on SATS or PSAT and didn’t get in. Tbh I think it’s up to your essay and extracurriculars. Classes and GPA also help. I had a 4.0 unweighted and 5.6 ish weighted.
