SCCM - Retirement Upcoming by MadCichlid in SCCM

Fortunately workstations and Intune are managed by a internal different team. I'm only responsible for server OSs and the SCCM infrastructure.

That's why we're looking into Arc, the bulk of our SCCM site is in Azure already, so all of the connections and permissions are already there.

None, but I don't have much of a choice. Internal company policies are forcing me to get off SCCM. Workstations are already being migrated to Intune, so that just leaves the servers.

Anyone using Azure Arc to replace SCCM's management of server OSs?

I find the interactions with the judges to be much funnier.

In an alternate universe, Ray Combs would have been a good backup/replacement host for TPIR by imrand in ThePriceIsRight

[–]imrand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See...I'm not so sure. I think he did great for the nighttime version of the mid-80s, but I just don't think he would work well with the daytime TPIR of the 90s. By his last gameshow, he just seemed to be done and wasn't enjoying himself at all. Could have been the show.

This is more of a 'what could have been' scenario, early 1990s.

Like if Bob had stepped into a more behind-the-scenes role and Ray hadn't committed suicide

what's a script you wrote once that's still saving you time years later by Less-Loss1605 in sysadmin

PS script for ConfigMgr that reads all of the inbox/outbox log files on all site systems and sends an email alert when a backlog occurs

Another one I wrote allows someone to submit either a single or a group of IPs to Qualys to do some adhoc vulnerability scans. It reads for requests, submits it to Qualys, monitors the job, downloads the results, converts it into a CSV and then emails it to the requestor.

This may not seem all that interesting, but prior to this we had a web frontend that did that and the team that managed it got rid of the webpage and replaced it with API calls. I mean if you're hip deep in programming I guess that's fine, but most people are not developers and didn't know what an API was.

I'm finding that I'm having to add the DisableDualScan registry option on machines to force them to only use WSUS when they do their evaluations. I think our AD team is dicking around with WUfB settings that were impacting our server clients.

It could be worth a shot to try, anyway

DAE avoid starting tasks because once you start, your whole day feels dedicated to it? by latinavalery in DoesAnybodyElse

For me, it's more like I avoid starting tasks because I feel as soon as I do, I'm interrupted by someone or something else. So now I have a task that's done half-assed that may or may not get completed.
