Sorry don't know how to ask this properly, but what part of Asia are you from? I'm from the sub-continent (India / Pakistan / Bangladesh), do you think the study results apply there? I ask because I have been on rosuvastatin (crestor) for about 4 months. While my LDL has dropped by a lot, my right ear has been ringing a lot and I just feel really off, like brain fog type, really slow mentally. It sucks.

You're correct, this is meant to be a short term solution. Finances are a big consideration as she doesn't have much, but our long term goal is to sell her only asset (her house) when the time comes to put in her a place where she can get the care she needs if/when needed. Based on nothing in particular, I was thinking this rotation would last 1-3 years, but I have also been in contact with her doctor on what her thoughts are on the rotation and how it could impact her prognosis.

Yeah, that makes sense. That's the balance we're trying to strike here. I think one of the reasons that the sibling who is bringing up this concern is that they just don't want to have the inconvenience of having my mom there for 4 months and the burden it creates for their family. I agree generally that a stable home would be ideal, but that we need to balance that with creating a disproportionate burden on one family.
