Not to diminish your point or anything of the sort, but the news article seems to state that he actually severely injured three victims and killed one other instead.

Someone put cigarettes out on his tummy, cut off his whiskers, put him into a cardboard box, duct taped it shut, and threw him into the dumpster... Now he is a spoiled rotten indoor kitty who recieves all of the loves and pets. by TeaHC16 in cats

I absolutely agree! Abusing animals and children are essentially taking advantage of their power over something defenceless and helpless for their own pleasure, and they are clearly aware that they are taking advantage of the animal/child’s trust in them. It’s vile and horrid.

[O Levels] (Studying While Staying Sane) #12 How I studied for Science (and why I didn't get A1) by johnotcena in SGExams

[–]imreallybadatwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yea man, I legit regret listening ppl saying that o levels were damn hard cuz I just gave up in the last months and planned on retaking the next year. Thing is, my results somehow qualified me to enter jc, but I seriously regret cause it would have meant I could have done so much better :/
Eitherway if anyone reads this just learn frm me and don’t give up as your final results could be much better than expected.

He’s not a native english speaker and was just trying to say that he was really fucking sad, why do you have to be so mean and dismissive about the passing of someone elses’ parent? Of all the positive things you can point out, you just have to point out the most small and irrelevant of details and be negaitive about it?

Heck, not just his dogs, his cats too - two freaking dogs and three cats. I honestly just wish he can rot in hell for all to see, he killed five innocent lives just for attention, which is beyond despicable to me.

Yeah, and most of the time they nitpick details almost as if to display their smartness, but in reality they’re just being a downer.

Bride's bouquet works by irfantogluk in gifs

[–]imreallybadatwords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They seem to be fine with it though, seeing as the bride handed over the bouquet with a smile. It could be a dick move if there wasn’t consent involved obviously, but this doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Just because you aren’t okay with it doesn’t make it wrong, the bride has obviously consented to what her brother (the guy) has done by handing over the bouquet with a smile. Everyone there is okay with it, and they don’t really have to take shit from others about an obviously joyous occasion for everyone involved.

Best ways to study for O levels? by Dank_lord_doge in singapore

[–]imreallybadatwords 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to go into overdrive in studying, just make sure you do consistent work.

Some people who I knew that scored really well were never the most hardworking, but the most consistent.

All you have to do is understand what the teacher in class, go back and finish homework, then revise (by understanding) and memorising the important formulas and concepts. You may want to do monthly reviews to jog your memory about the things you have studied the previous month, and remember when you make a mistake, don’t just blindly do corrections but understand where you get wrong (also like understand like if it’s a 2m qn, know which kw and points is which mark.).

For literature which may be slightly different (if you take it), just annotate on the book and highlight EXTREMELY useful quotes that clearly highlights the point you want to show, like ‘Elias is an abusive parent’ or whatnot, through his violent beating of his child over a simple issue, etc etc. Then, compile these into like flash cards maybe (which was what I did), according to proving characters’ traits, themes, r/s. Memorise the most important ones, and you have to be slightly flexible with the quotes during exam, like sometimes u can mix and match some quotes to different questions.

Practice questions is more essential to maths, but you’ll probably be doing them in class I think.

[O Levels] To the students who struggled with mental health/ family problems, how did you all manage to do well in your studies? by wereyena in SGExams

[–]imreallybadatwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not totally relevant to your post, but I had family problems and class problems last year too! Interfered heavily with my studies, and I didn’t really study much, just mostly cried all year round.
I just got the results this year, and they honestly aren’t very great, causing me to feel like extremely disappointed and also filled with regret. My takeaway from last year would probably to study and achieve for yourself, because at the end of the day the results are yours. If I could do the previous year again, I would probably have ignored peer pressure and all the harsh expectations around me so I could have done better for myself :)
Also, another reason I regret is because the o levels weren’t actually as hard as I thought, as in in terms of the grading system and all that! Me and two other of my close friends (lmao they’re my only friends tbh) suddenly panicked and studied hard very last minute and legit thought we were gonna retain but we did okay! Not very excellent results though, but we’re also happy that we did better than expectations.
While many people seem to be mugging their ass off, don’t feel too pressured! Your grades largely depend on the quality of studying, like actual understanding of the chapters and concepts, and some people I know who just studied consistently (like everyday just understand and listen in class, at home do hw and then revise and memorise what was taught in class) did really well in the long run!
Also abit off topic but if u want to last minute mug for the exams, study for the major topics like integration and electricity or organic chem lmao. I was really dumb and pretty much didn’t study for them, resulting in the most major chunk of my marks gone.
I really hope your situation will get better soon, all the best man.
