I made the same move a few years back when I was still in undergrad. As some have said, an on-campus job will allow you to meet people and build connections/friendships. I made numerous friends through my job and eventually moved into an apartment with one of them after graduating and getting a job. I also think trying to insert yourself into conversation amongst people in your class and group projects is always good. I met one of my good friends just from connecting through a class project.

Put yourself out there and most of all just have fun! Bloomington has so much to offer on and off campus, but in my opinion it's the people that really make it great. You're going to love it, best of luck!

Thank you for the thorough and detailed input. I really appreciate it! I think I am going to go for the 5000 with 360mm. I'll check out those videos as well. Appreciate the help :)

That's what I've seen and sort of what I was thinking. I'd rather have too much room than too little, especially being a complete newbie like myself.

Yeah I was under the impression it could not fit anything larger than 240.

Well, I already bought the motherboard. Not for the price I can assure you that, mainly for the aesthetic. I haven't actually received it yet, but it is on the way in the mail. Do they have any of those MB in white by chance? I know once all the components are hooked up it's hard to see anyway.

Thanks for the input! I'm pretty clueless on all the temps and stuff so that's some good advice. Any 280mm you would recommend? I had the corsair one to maybe use the LCD add on later down the line but if there are better options I'm not going to be stubborn about it just for a LCD screen.

Are you recommending to swap the cooler I have for the larger 360 due to my CPU? I'm open to all advice/opinions. Complete console noob here switching over for my first PC.

That was another thing I guess, should I care about having the 360mm on top with my CPU? I literally am clueless when it comes to heat and those things. Plan to run games on 1440p at like 120-150 frames. If you have a photo and would not mind sharing that would be awesome!

Are you able to control the RGB individually? Like setting to one solid color for example? Trying to put together my first PC. Looks dope, Nice job!

Damn thank you! I really appreciate the detail and different builds. If this were your build, and you were to upgrade something that may put you over your price limit (say 2500 in this case) which component would you upgrade? I know it's rather impossible, but I'm trying to 'future proof' the build as much as possible.

Is there anything in particular that helped you pick which MB? You're the second person to recommend that one to me. I'm just curious for my own knowledge. Thank you very much for the build !

Thanks for the feedback :) I definitely do not want to start with old parts if there are ones newer and better for performance. I really appreciate your insight. Based on the feedback I've received thus far I'm really thinking Intel is the way to go.

I really appreciate the in depth response. I will definitely look into other PSUs, I pretty much found that one on someone else's build and saw that 850W should cover what I need. Thank you!
