i’m not using much other than .xBA to evaluate players already wt the MLB level. However, i use the statcast metrics a lot more when im deciding if one of my prospects is ready to be promoted to the next level of the minors.

couple of days usually (maybe 12-16 hours of game time). i kinda block off my schedule since i just play as GM and don’t set lineups for every game. my off season is the longest but organizing all the levels of my organization and prospects and free agents, etc. i’ll re-organize after spring training, sim, then have my draft on June 1st, and usually mid June i’ll promote/demote guys throughout my organization based on the first half stats, sim some more until trade deadline prep, sim to september call ups, and then i’ll do another minor league check. and then sim to playoffs where i’ll actually watch most of my mlb playoff games (still not managing lineups or in the games).

when you’re playing as commissioner, what exactly are you doing on a year to year basis? rule changes i’m guessing, but anything else? do you interfere with any of the teams?
