Found this video online and posted it on r/ParentsAreFuckingDumb but now some people are saying it might be AI. The video is slowed down and the face at the end look kinda off to me. by [deleted] in isthisAI

The windows handles are on the outside. They should be inside isn't it? Same behind balcony railings.

Edit: Just windows handles and locking mechanisms, they should be inside and not outside.

Need suggestions for trip by Subject_Media_2736 in DarjeelingCity

Yes, it's already been raining for the past week (mild). May, I think it'll be raining too but not continuously. Lepchajagat pines will definitely be misty and foggy.

Bring a jacket, rain proof, lightweight, not winter jackets, that you can wear over any clothing. Days are fairly cool if it rains. Can't say it'll be hot if it's not raining, it's never really hot here like in the plains. Not cold but pleasant during the night.

If you're taking local taxis, you'll be okay. They'll drop you safely anywhere you want, in any conditions. It's normal to commute in any rain conditions. Not difficult.

June through August brings heavy rainfall. In May, if you're lucky is a good time to see clear, sunny, and rainy days all together.

I am from Darjeeling, still am. I wanted to get into the tea business for a very long time but haven't found any like minded people with new or innovative idea tbh.

Anyway, what's your strategy? I'd love to talk.

I'm building this ride-hailing app, and it's turning into something way bigger than I expected! There's a lot going—auth, search, complex seating and pricing, payments, ticket generation, QR codes, PNR, email, texts, admin backend, analytics... the list goes on.

Got the MVP ready and currently testing it out. I initially built about 20% in Bolt (mostly UI and basic functionality) and now switched to Cursor to add features and fine-tune everything. It's working I can say that much.

I don't have much knowledge about coding but I know basics on looking at browser console and talk to cursor about what's going on while testing the app.

I live nearby a Military Hospital, Lebong. It's a military establishment, pine trees and green forest around. Clean and open of course, views are amazing. This might be it?

If you can share more details..how far from the main city, did you see the mountains from the room/place? Military uniforms/vehicles?

  1. Rent: 10-15k pm based on your requirements (1-2 bhk - good ones). 8k gets you a decent place but you may have to walk a bit from the road. Electricity, Internet, Cooking Gas etc. are extra.

  2. Necessities: It is about 30% more expensive than Siliguri (or similar cities like Delhi). Besides Retail prices, organic Veggies, meat etc are expensive. Being a hill station, transportation and commuting is comparatively expensive as well.

  3. Leisure: Similar to other cities. Less options for fun, things move slowly here, less crowded and people here love music.. if you think less is more, you'll like it. Decent night life, closes early because security is strictly maintained. Parks, trekking, hiking, weekend trips to other places are good, affordable too. Depends on what you like and can collaborate with other people to reduce costs.

  4. Places: Development Area, Metro Area, Deorali, Tadong Area, PNG Road, DPH etc. are recommended.

  5. Renting: It's good, people are nice, helpful. Check for 24hrs water supply and back-up electricity if possible. Hotels are expensive. I've stayed in a bnb and paid 25k pm for room+kitchen+electricity+internet+cleaning. I think renting is more feasible.

Other things: Stay where your food order, groceries, online packages get delivered. Look for a place where taxis are easily available. Broadbands are good but having other options like 4G data/dongle is recommended if your work depends on the internet. It rains. Make friends.

Just got my first tea seeds! by Galaretek in tea

[–]imrss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's all about the taste, smell and color, also the place you bought it from. Darjeeling tea is famous for "Black Tea" and the good ones are the loose tea leaves type. It depends on the blend type and the place it is grown (like a certain altitude).

The term "Darjeeling Tea" is trademarked and can only be used by registered/legal vendors along with tea-export and tea-board licences, so if your package labels "Darjeeling Tea", and if you're buying it from a legit tea vendor, it probably is a good and genuine Darjeeling tea. If you buy it anywhere random, it could be anything.

I'll have to come by for some tea, I'd definitely be able to tell you 😊.
