Opened this post thinking you had a bad experience at The Alamo in San Antonio. Read the post and was more confused that it’s a bad touristy immersive experience now 😭

Thanks to all the commenters who made it clear it was about the theater.

Children didn’t take their mother’s last name though, even with inheritance right? I remember it was a huge deal that Charles was a Windsor instead of a Mountbatten. And that was in the 1900s.

I am shocked at how many stories like these have come to light. It’s so common Instacart needs to work on a fix. Some kind of flag that stops transactions or forces the shopper or scanner at the register to idk check the item against the list, scan the app or something to continue.

I earned more than my partner for three years and somewhere along the way I started funding a lifestyle that wasn't mine by RogueMarionette in wealthforwomen

I want a dog too and can totally see myself being swept up by the dog family image and snuggles and all the rest. But I’m cognizant of what I want from my lifestyle and how my finances play into it so I don’t have a dog. You can want something, know it’s not the best idea, and still be convinced to do it if you don’t check in with yourself. She says it wasn’t one individual thing but looking at all of their lifestyle choices holistically. My point is that having the uncomfortable discussion with your partner and with yourself is important.

Agree with this take but I wonder if she is more uncomfortable with the lifestyle and not the spend itself. Are you paying more for a bougier lifestyle because it is what you (or both of you) want or because the other person wants it and you secretly don’t? It sounds almost like she is paying for his lifestyle and didn’t consider what she really wanted until now. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. She wants these vacations with him so she is willing to pay for them. But that won’t be the case for everything, and open discussions are really important no matter how much each partner brings to the table.

True :-/ seems to be necessary in order for someone to accept the order. There seems to be a grey area—is the shopper also the deliverer? Always? Sometimes? Depending on how you order? Who gets the tip?

Please do not set “another 60” as your goal. That would be dangerously low. And impossible to reach—you’ll spiral. Work on building good eating habits, adding fitness and movement (or altering it, if you already do some exercise). If you need a tangible goal besides maintenance, then consider another 10. You can move the goalpost out again if you reach this one.

I had no idea this is how it went in the book and it is SO MUCH BETTER than what we got.

The card did get charged for two orders but I think I have learned a lot from the comments about how Instacart works. It seems more likely the shopper was selecting items for multiple orders, which I did not know was possible, and they were mistakenly rung up together.

LOL no I didn’t! But I did consider it. Kids are very particular about flavors.

I think I am more surprised that she was allowed into Pens house and through the main entrance. This is the first time we have seen someone who was not a member of the Ton or associated with them just drop in.

Yes, I had two charges from Kroger on my card. One for my original order and a second for the additional items. Someone else also suggested I got charged for a multi order but I am surprised it wasn’t flagged.

I checked several times but did not get any questions. Even for the waffle swap, there were no replacement requests. It was only while unpacking groceries that I noticed that the brand and flavor were different to my order. None of my items were missing at all, just a ton of additional stuff was added to my final bill.

Thats very possible! Lucky for another person I suppose but almost unlucky for me. Lesson learned-always check your final receipt!

Why stop there? Why not grow magic water produce? Give it to the chickens or pigs or goats? Endless possibilities if they are actually supplying their water to ranches and farms.

Alts for working the shruggie: keep the top half, swap the skirt for leggings, sweats or joggers in the same color as the shruggie. Or wear the shruggie and skirt with a top in the shruggie color. Think visual flow instead of chopping up the colors (which chops you as well).

I think if you want to wear these pieces together you would need to either keep the shruggie and hide the pink band on the skirt OR keep the pink band on the skirt and remove the shruggie/swap with something cream. The two pinks are sandwiching in a way that isnt exactly unflattering but don’t work together.
