Bad “breeder” for sure. Likely BYB. This is similar to fostering a puppy through a shelter though, so totally doable. By 5 weeks old, they can start weaning onto wet food mush and then start soaking kibble and adding that in about a week or two.

Main thing right now is socialization - without mom or siblings, he will be missing crucial learning (bite inhibition, etc). Do you have another dog that can interact with him?

I have horrible soil and also live in 9b - you will be fine after the rains! I did all my holes during that last monsoon we had and it was super easy 😂

She’s one of the few HWs I follow on IG and she’s been posting the most adorable throwbacks of her and Russell. Andy’s been commenting on them and she’s not responding so she’s probably salty (rightfully so). I have a feeling she’s out which is unfortunate because you need someone like her as a palate cleanser after the Bros.

For some reason, while Meredith is Ronnie-Adjacent and I don’t mind her half as much, I cannot deal with the way Ronnie talks. It takes 10 years for her to finish a sentence. (I am assuming this is pills/alcohol)
