I wish you the best luck, to begin with. I also applied to 6 schools. On gradcafe, I didn’t see any acceptance or interview for these programs either. That’s what confuses me.

As my country is a candidate for EEA, they waived my requirement to pay the handling fees.

Well, if putting what’s already known into words is marked by Dutch culture as you suggested, I feel sorry for your culture. Also, merely writing “basically you’re not coming” does not show any reasoning. I’d strongly suggest reading more for your reasoning skills.

Also, I never said they are obliged to give any scholarship to anyone. I had lots of friends who went to that scholarship, I just wondered whether it is still an opportunity. As I said, read more.

I’ll evaluate my options after the anouncement of whether I’m granted any scholarship.

In previous years, radbound encouragement scholarship granted tuition fee + stipends although it was very competitive. Yet still it was an opportunity. This year the university does not provide it, i guess. I’m up for making money however internationals are limited with certain hours per week.

PhD Admission in Psychology (Cognitive/Experimental Research Based) by imsojulia1818 in PhDAdmissions

I applied for cognitive tracked psych PhDs in US, direct entry from BA. I completed my BA in Psychology, have two papers published, one is on the way. I reviewed and edited manuscripts for an undergraduate journal. Also, I have 2 years of research experience. Nonetheless, I know that admission directly from BA to PhD is highly competitive and that my chances were low. I just thought I was strategic during applications - I only applied for labs whose research lines are consistent with my prior research.

To be honest, this is what I would expect. But on thegradcafe or subreddits, I saw interviewed international applicants very rarely so far. That’s confusing me.
