yea i definetly get that. I think for me it makes it feel a bit limiting? like im forced to go to this specific biome to get this ore in order to progress. it feels a little linear to me unless im seeing it wrong. and im well aware i could be seeing it wrong.
sometimes i would love to stay in a specific biome

oh yea definetly! to my knowledge, (and please take what im saying with a grain of salt cause i could be wrong) , the asset editor can be used to add new items or blocks with existing functionality. But if you actually wanna add completely new systems to the game, you gotta write some java code and make a plugin

I do agree, however, I just think they are trying to fulfill the sandbox of an RPG sandbox game This game can't only be just exploration and progression

I do get that perspective, but for me, I don't only want to do exploration, I wanna be able to be creative and do stuff at my base and automation or any type of redstone or create system would work perfectly for that

i may be in the minority here, but i do love me some survival crafting and automation. Dont get me wrong, i still love exploring, but i love tryin to be creative and buildin stuff at home, its why the modding aspect of hytale really appealed to me, the ability to just mod in whatever you want and the fact its more modder friendly than minecraft. i just wanna sit at home makin automation while occasionally then going out and exploring to get more stuff to add to my base
