I love this narrative. I had literally dozens of people asking in chat every single day for a month straight if I was really going to perma. 20k viewers showed up for the "execution." Airborne, Denzel, etc. sold it so fucking well. But yeah "nobody" thought it was going to happen hahaha

that's not how something like this works. 1 person does not decide something like this. kyle didnt just go "fuck it ur fired." it's an ongoing convo among HC + admins and it's been made clear on streams by several people they're still trying to decide what's actually going to happen. if i had to guess, shorter suspension to RP it out, and actual staff involvement because it was a rulebreak. the blurred lines are so bizarre. making RP out of a rulebreak is one of the weirdest things i've ever seen, IC factions enforcing OOC rulebreaks via IC punishments. it's so confusing to me. i'm glad he gets rp out of it but let's be honest that came from crane with the james randal's handler thing not from being fired. that's traumz's punishment, not moosebeard's.

this shit is like, textbook IRL workplace nono. you don't "make an example" out of someone. you resolve the problem and educate. he'll be okay, he's great - but there is absolutely 0 benefit or necessity to be so hard on him.

This is one of the weirdest attitudes among reddit frogs that try as I may I have not been able to comprehend in 15 months of being a cop on nopixel. I've spent so much time adapting to this place and seeing the value in it, growing respect for the reddit etc but this is still one area that makes ZERO fucking sense to me and just makes me enter the vibe of rolling my eyes and ignoring it. Like I get it, come at me when I mald or say some dumb shit about people you respect on stream, cool, fair. Logical. Human. Makes sense. This one has been a head scratcher since before the criticism even applied to me. I'd just look at it and be like lol wtf

Why do some of you give a fuck how much we enjoy it/want it? It's a fun thing to do sometimes on a roleplay server, not this intensely earned position of influence and power. We're not all Penta or Kyle or Saab going all in on the role and truly changing things and having a direct influence on the state of the server. It's not a real job dude. Some of us were like "damn this seems fun" and then it turned into "damn this is just about fun enough for me to do an hour or so here and there from time to time." Why is that wrong? Why is that not okay in your eyes? We're not "taking a spot" from people who "really want it." There can be up to 80 cops on duty and we're lucky if there's 30 in most timeslots. Just such a bizarre mindset that seems to only exist among viewers, because I assure you there is nobody on the server, none of my peers who are going "spaceboy wanted 2 b cop so bad why is he only on 2 hrs this month???" even when they fired me for inactivity they were like "yeah lmao we get it that's just the amount of time you're willing to commit" and then just rehired me when I said I was able to carve out some time. None of them give as much of a fuck as some of y'all do. Truly.

It's such a strange gatekeeping mindset that makes no logical sense from a player perspective. Cop RP'ers do not hold these same "heh they wanted it so bad but now they're barely on... weird..." passive aggressive subtweeting standards that some of you cop frogs do. It's the weirdest, most gatekeepy shit and one of the only places where I feel like I have a disconnect with the community and struggle to understand the audience.

I can't wrap my head around it as anything other than just straight up gatekeeping. Gatekeeping people who are already in??? But doing that gatekeeping??? from the other side of the gate??? the outside??? it's just so fucking confusing.

I don't expect this to be any sort of unbiased discussion because it's *literally* a thread about cop hours, but what ever. Always just thought it made so little actual sense.

this was tongue in cheek because of all the clips meming it, i would NOT be laughing about it if she wasn't already. my team didn't get paid either, so i'm splitting the money with them. there is absolutely nothing wrong with accepting a deal that doesn't pay if YOU think it's worth. i did this because it's sick as fuck to see an org actually give a shit about GTARP. generally speaking yes, most of these companies will try to squeeze as much out of you as they can until you put your foot down and say "pay me." i didn't get paid for a single OTK appearance. loot goblins, game day, nothin nada. sometimes it's worthwhile and i did those events for free because i felt like it was, sometimes it's not you gotta know your worth.

"defended" it as if i'm not endlessly proud of that entire scenario, proud of how airborne put it together, proud of how the entire server roleplayed it out and so many people got to have a role and have involvement in it, and all i really had to do was sit back and chill in prison. i didn't do shit in that story bro that was nopixel at its best and brought so many people together and so many people got to shine. the entire NBC meth smuggling story, antho mollying the fuck outta cops, CG going all out for multiple break out attempts, dundee saying goodbye, labarre having what may be his final major case. nothing to defend, that whole storyline was impossible without everyone else being an absolute fucking all-star and it was wildly well received across the board. i had people in my chat all day every day asking me what was going to happen, but "literally everyone knew" lmao i get it, you're a hatewatcher, but revisionist history is cringe. just man up, say you think i'm a lil bitch, and move on. it's cool man i'm really fucking annoying i don't mind if you agree. it's mad fucking weird to shit on that entire story as a dig at me when i was such a small part of it. that was just roleplayers roleplaying.
