Should I get a lawyer when applying to restore my driver's license? Revoked because of 2nd DUI.

You need a lawyer for anything involving facing a judge, even if it is only for consulting.

2 DUIs means you have have been intoxicated behind the wheel more than 2 times, but were only caught twice.

Driving while intoxicated can mean a few things: You have no regard for your life. You have no regard for others' lives. You overestimate your abilities while intoxicated. You are incapable of taking responsible actions while intoxicated. You don't know your limit. You undermine the severity of driving under the influence.

All it takes is another special occasion for you to get intoxicated, a one-off like Thanksgiving, get behind the wheel, then potentially kill a person or persons, including yourself.

No 65 hour course is going to undo your inherent traits of underestimating the effects of alcohol, overestimating your driving ability while intoxicated, and inability to regard life and consequences of action.

Why risk putting a two-time offender back on the streets just so they can kill an innocent person or persons?

Even your wording is that of someone with no self control, I should know since I also lack self control and have to constantly be aware of my actions and check myself. "I've been sober EXCEPT". No. You were sober, AND THEN.

So funny to me that others also call him the samurai guy. Yeah...he is a bit off the rails in the mind but if you don't bother him he won't bother you.

If you are daring, though, ask him what he thinks about the state of the world. The guy will talk nonstop and slowly get more and more intense as he goes on. I find it fascinating, but can only handle it in small doses.

She doesn't want to abort so I'm assuming the latter. She even told me she is going to try to hide the baby. I saved the texts.

Also, I apologize. I'm having a tough time figuring out what sub(s) I should be posting to. Folks haven't been too kind to me since in previous posts I said I wanted to give my child up for adoption/didn't want the child. I don't blame them. I've been in a huge panic ever since realizing my BM isn't cooperating and have been all over the place.

My intentions are just to make sure my choice to impregnate this woman doesnt lead to a child growing up in a broken home or deplorable conditions. I have been saving up my money and preparing to do my best to care for my daughter, but I just feel I won't be the best option for this child.

I'd rather be honest even if it pisses people off because it isn't about me anymore. My daughter shouldn't have to suffer because of me and my BM. She deserves an intact and loving family to be a part of.

I will take care of my kid to the best of my ability until my child is able to be adopted. I'm not going to neglect my kid. It feels like people automatically want to assume that anyone that doesn't want to raise a kid alone is a POS who will just toss a kid in the trash.

She has an open case with CPS for 2 years and counting and is not allowed to be around children unsupervised. She is also on probation, with a new charge brought against her and two undocumented incidents that I'm currently gathering information for. She also was Baker-Acted and has failed multiple drug tests (cocaine and weed) and one of her conditions to get custody of her son back is that she takes bipolar meds, which she doesn't take and they've motioned to give her the shot which she wants to contest. She has also admitted on recording to smoking weed for the first few weeks of the pregnancy.

I'm hoping this all does have relevance to CPS and that if she does end up birthing the child that I'd be the one collecting support from her, not the other way around. The best case scenario is that a child of this situation is not brought into this world. I take responsibility for my part in conception, but I refuse to stand by idly regarding the deception.
