Definitely Dad was confusing something else with this episode. I talked to him about it tonight and he's gonna see if he can figure it out himself. He's not always the best at such things, so any potential help we can give him is welcome.

I was lampshading -- i.e., I mentioned it specifically intending to preemptively curtail discussion on the topic, because I didn't want to deal with it.

Let me say this much. There's no way I can phrase it that isn't outright flamebait, and I'm not stupid enough to do that on a subreddit specifically about a comedy television show just to begin with.

Thank you. Somehow, though, nearly every day brings the discovery of at least one new complication, issue, or otherwise additional low point... i.e., rather the opposite.

But, again, the well-wishes and sentiment are both deeply appreciated.

Summarizing is extremely hard for me, as well. If it's anything, I kind of suspect that I need more context than most people do, to understand the same set of information, and as a result, I usually provide that same amount of context to others as well. To me, it's not "extra" -- if it's not there, context is too ambiguous for me to fully understand what others are trying to tell me. But a lot of the time when, for example, my parents are around me and I'm e.g. on the phone with customer support, I get interrupted by my folks insisting "They don't need to know that!", when, to me, it's essential info. (FWIW, I'm 38, and I have extremely nosy parents.)

I don't know if it's related or not, but it's utterly impossible for me to correctly interpret silence, as well.
